Finest breakfast in the Northland. As others have said, incredible biscuits and a real first-rate omelet. Reasonably priced all-around, and has a real diner-type feel inside. Service was quick despite the busy hour, and so polite and helpful. Definitely going back.

Great food. I ate there twice in 1 week! The spinach bacon quiche is great. It was a busy place at lunchtime but the atmosphere is relaxed and not stuffy at all.

Went out on the Saturday morn hunt for the city’s best B’s & G’s…we decided to Check out Huey’s. I liked this place , it has a cozy feel, good light, nice vibe. The Latte I had was really amazing, the service was quick and efficient and polite. Our food was good, as I am always hunting for that magic plate of goodness out there…I found this really good, very hot and fresh. The Egg was done perfect and bacon was done great. Kel liked her scramble but should have gone with the b-fast burrito as she was left in want for cheese. Overall, very good and will return for sure.

First time trying Hueys. The atmosphere is great. It is semi-self serve. You order at the counter, take a number, grab your beverages, and pick a table.

We had the, build your own omelet (ham, cheese, and onion,) it came with hashbrowns and toast. The omelet was great, fluffy, full of meat and cheese and perfectly seasoned, the hashbrowns had a unique seasoning on them it was a good flavor but I really like them to be way more crispy than they were. The toast was thick, buttery, and perfectly toasted.

My companion had the everything plate, and it truly was everything. Scrambled eggs with chorizo and cheese, black beans, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. The eggs were fluffy and packed a punch from the chorizo. It was a usually good combination having seasoned black beans with everything. The bacon was perfectly crispy and smokey. The biscuits were fluffy, but the gravy lacked flavor. It was more like flour paste with chunks of sausage. From other reviews, this is not normal, so I would be willing to give them another try.

We also had a short stack and a sugar free dark chocolate mocha. I wasn’t a fan of the pancakes, they were a little too greasy and “rubbery” my companion thought they were perfect. ‍♀️ The mocha was perfect, not to sweet and still had plenty of coffee flavor to it.

We will be back, and would love to try the lunch menu.

Stopped at Huey’s for lunch after visiting Liberty and was not disappointed in the meal. Quick service, friendly staff and clean restaurant. My friends enjoyed the Reuben sandwich. My chicken salad sandwich and Greek salad was delicious. We were impressed with the salad presentation! Not the usual mixed together and put on a plate salad. Highly recommend stopping at Huey’s when traveling near Liberty.

Meh…I wanted to try a Mom and Pop breakfast place after I finished some business in Liberty. I did a search and picked Huey’s based on reviews. I guess it doesn’t take much to impress the locals.

We went in and walked up to the counter so we could read the menu on the chalkboard and order. We paid and pre-tipped before getting any service. I’m always amazed at places that are setup this way.

Other reviews raved about their biscuits and gravy so I had to try it and ordered a half order, 2 buttermilk pancakes and 2 eggs over medium and a vanilla latte. My wife ordered the American breakfast platter.

Our lattes arrived and they were good; the girl was nice.

Several people brought our food out and they were pleasant. The small biscuit had ample sausage gravy was just ok, the over medium eggs were over easy and the buttermilk pancakes were seriously rubber and coldish the 2 pats of butter were frozen and the syrup was cold. I don’t believe I have ever seen bacon any thinner than what was on the American breakfast.

Nobody came back to check on how the food was or clear any plates (why should they, they were already tipped 20% for doing nothing more than dropping plates off and they were all sitting down in the both adjoining ours). My wife felt she was going to sneeze and went to the restroom and there was no TP. She let the counter girl know (who was still sitting down) and she didn’t get up to address the issue – too busy with her Carhartt boyfriend.

I generally will not leave a review if I don’t have anything nice to say but I walked out feeling that I had been gypped. Close to $60 for 2 people and blah.

The menu on Google is pictures and must be old because the prices are a couple $ more.

I wished that I had gone to Big Biscuit instead for a real order of biscuits and gravy.

It was a little after 12:00 so maybe the breakfast cook had already gone home for the day. Save your $$$ and your tummy and go elsewhere.

I live in Lees Summit, but was staying with a friend at an Airbnb when she came to visit. When I googled breakfast places near the Airbnb, this was the first one that popped up so we went with it.
It’s a cute little hole in the wall diner, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and the menu was pretty extensive, especially for a small place. We both got the traditional platters and my wife ordered the biscuits and gravy because there was a Google review that they were a must order! I didn’t get a picture of any of it because we were too hungry but still wanted to review.
My eggs (over medium) were perfect.
My friend’s eggs (sunny side up) were also perfect.
She ordered hashbrowns which looked super crispy.
I ordered the breakfast potatoes which were seasoned perfectly!
Bacon was great. Toast was great.
My wife’s biscuits and gravy were perfect. The gravy is brown-ish, not white, so that’s how you know it’s going to be good. It was also seasoned perfectly and there was the perfect amount of meat mixed in.
All in all, I would definitely make the trip back here to try other things on the menu and would recommend checking it out!

Great place for some breakfast.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was good, and the service was solid.
I got a 1/2 plate of biscuits and gravy and a bagel breakfast sandwich. The B and G was perfect for what I like.
They also have a solid selection of coffee and lunch items, but I didn’t try them.

I love huey’s so much! Excellent breakfast, brunch and lunch food, all for a great price. The drink options are also great, get an espresso variation or a cup of drip coffee, a soft drink or hot cocoa. The shop itself is in a historic building in liberty square.

Right on the square. Grabbed breakfast before walking the farmers market. When we arrived we were greeted and walked right up to order. Found a seat quickly. Lattes were great and breakfast was yummy.
This little place got busy quickly after we were seated.
They also have sugar free flavors.
