Absolutely love this place. We try to come once a week. Owners are amazing and super laid back and great people. The staff is very welcoming and make excellent drinks. Upscale speakeasy vibe never any drama. Drinks and cigars have good pricing.
Always have a cigar and an old fashioned. Whiskey base and it is amazing. They bring the flavor out when they torch the orange peel and it is the best old Fashioned I’ve had across the country.
Shout out to Cameron the bartender and Dale and Pam the owners who are always here enjoying a drink and cigar with the customers.
Try the cheese balls. To die for!

Huey’s Hidden Vault is an exceptional addition to downtown ES. The cocktail menu is well planned, and seasonally variable, with ingredients made in-house or thoughtfully sourced. If the bespoke cocktails aren’t your thing, their extensive bar and awesome staff can easily make you something classic, or crack open a nice beer. Once you e decided on a drink, they have a great humidor and a nice airy patio with a view of the Hall of Waters. Really a gem of a place with the responsible, locally involved ownership I’d love to see more of in town.

I so badly wanted to provide 5 stars! The owners are amazing and provided excellent customer service, the male bartender did not. It was as if he was put off by our arrival. The description lead us to believe that it was a sort of speak easy, while the decor is reminiscent the vibe that night was off. We light-heartedly asked about a password and his response was there is not need because alcohol can be legally sold…kind of killed the jovial feelings. When asked about the cigar selection he motioned to a humidor near the back entrance…no assistance. We choose 2 Acids and two drinks and made our way to the patio. The drinks were just OK, the flavor of one too sweet to finish and one of the cigars was so brittle that it cracked as we were lighting it. I have no doubt that the owners would have provided another drink or replacement cigar, but we were ready to move on to the next location. Not sure this will make it on our must return list unless we see someone else behind the bar.

Celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this weekend in Excelsior Springs and got the opportunity to enjoy Huey’s Hidden Vault for drinks following dinner. The atmosphere is just what we were looking for as we sat by the fireplace, enjoyed the hand-crafted drinks, jazzy, easy-listening music and of course each other. We were able to speak with one of the owners, Pam, and she was warm and welcoming and overall excited to have us in her establishment! We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Excelsior Springs and that could possibly be just to enjoy drinks at Huey’s Hidden Vault and to share this gem with our friends!

The service here is next level – the owners Pam and Dale are the best. They cut our cigars, mixed fantastic cocktails, and even drove us home. Their dog Noland made our night & huge shout out to Calvin for bringing us there and recommending it. I don’t think it’s possible to have more fun than we did. Definitely recommend.

We were visiting from out of town, and we ended up here twice. Bartender, waitress and owner were all lovely. Drinks were delicious (get the lemon drop martini!), and the setting was comfortable and relaxed. Prices were reasonable, and we would definitely come back if we had more time. See you next trip!

They don’t have food, but they’ll give you a ramekin of pretzels or common bar snack to munch on while you sip or smoke. They have great handcrafted cocktails and even offer great and reasonably priced mocktails, and even carry non alcoholic spirits like N.A. Gin and Tequila. The bartender Cameron is great and always makes a point to start the convo and the owners always make sure to say hi or thank you for stopping in
