No big deal but ordered again tonight and had a WAD OF BLACK TANGLED HAIR stuck on my toast. Gross. Threw everything out and wont be back anymore.
It did not disappoint. Got the 8-Piece Meal For Two for my son and I. Hand-breaded tenders. They were perfect. Tender and juicy. Delicious. Fries were actually good. Crinkle cut, which aren’t my favorite, but they tasted pretty good.
Really like the Huey Magoo’s sauce. Even better, though, is that there’s a spicy recipe for it, too!
Will be back.
This is the first review ive ever had to write. Im sorry its so long but its been quite the ride, if you’re gonna read it buckle up.
I’ve gone to this location about 5 times now and all except 1 they have messed up the order in some way. This itself isn’t the issue as I dont mind minor mistakes, its the fact that for each of these I usually have to stand by the counter for up to 10 minutes to get it resolved. This last occurrence pushed me over the edge however, they mixed up my daughter’s meal with a more expensive one she didn’t want, at first I just wanted it fixed. After standing at the counter for the mandatory 10 minutes and making eye contact with multiple employees and the manager someone finally offered to help. I was surprised when they said theyd fix it and refund the entire ticket, I even offered to just pay the difference, but they said it was alright and not to worry about it. This definitely defused the frustration that boiled up from waiting. This was short lived however since shortly after they brought out the fixed meal, the manager came out with a new receipt and asked me to pay the new cost. I want to be clear, I think comp-ing the entire ticket (3 meals) was too much for the mistake, as nice as it was. However, to have one of the employees offer that just for the manager to take it back left a real sour taste in my mouth. Instead I got moderate apology for the mistake and told that she knows it was the employees fault in a tone that made me happy I dont work there. The food is as good as the springfield location but if youre sensitive to these kind of situations I would say maybe just hit up the springfield one or even Chick-fil-A up the road. If the Republic Huey Magoos is reading this, you guys should really consider reaching out to corporate or a consultant that can help resolve some of the management issues at that location. I dont fully blame you all for these repeated problems I genuinely feel the Owner or whoever at the top, didn’t set you guys up for success, with proper training and proper guidelines.
P.S. I hope the employee doesn’t get in trouble, I think they were correct to try and resolve the issue and make me feel respected. By doing something like this, but smaller of course like comp-ing the $6 kids meal, you can go from loosing a customer to potentially gaining more trust with a continued customer. This circles back to what I mentioned above about guidelines, which should inform employees on how to resolve conflicts like this. I wish you all the best, maybe ill try the place again in the future if I hear things have turned around.
