So I’m a huge chicken fanatic. This place has some good Tenders. Now by the looks of the menu it does look exactly like a raising canes. Special sauce looked the same, fries look the same, and even the garlic bread. So I didn’t try any of that…I just wanted to know how the chicken was. It was juicy and had more flavor than raising canes chicken. My husband tried a sweet heat tender….there was nothing sweet about it. Tasted more like a sour Hot. Tangy. I’ve had way better sweet heat sauce. I would choose this place over any raising canes anyday.

I put off going here for a while but I really wish I didnt. I came in on on crutches and said it was my first time, the young guy cashiering was very nice and explained things well and offered to open the door for me on my way out. After a couple minutes my meal came out I ate in my car and that 5 peice meal was outstanding. Everything was piping hot, fries were crisp yet fluffy and well seasoned, sweet tea wasnt too watery and was perfectly sweetened for me, texas toast was soft and buttery, the ranch tastes like they make it here which is outstanding, and the chicken is perfection. It is hot, juicy, and even though I got it sauced it was still crisp. That sweet heat sauce is amazing, it tastes just like general tsos but much better quality with better levels of heat and acidity to balance the sweetness. You can tell they in fact do you the actual chicken tenderloin instead of chicken breast strips because it is much more tender and juicy than many other restaurants. Unfortunately the main problem is that it made me realize something. Canes is not perfect, its there canes sauce that had a grip on me because they’re chicken did not hold up to Hueys. I saw right before I left they have a “magoos” sauce that looks like theyre own signature sauce but I will try that next time and trust me, there will be a next time.

So much better than Raising Cane’s – best chicken hands down! We live over 2 hours away but anytime we’re in Columbus, we make sure to get a meal here. This location is always clean, friendly and the food is delicious!

Great food, great service, quick and the food is delicious. They are quick like fast food, but way better quality food. I think it’s $11 for a 5 piece tender meal. Comparing that to a fast food meal, it’s hands down a much better option. Huey’s food quality is great for that price. Chicken is always fresh and hot and the banana pudding is yummy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s always clean, always receive fast service even when they are busy. Love the drive thru pickup window option too. Overall a great place to eat.

Food is good. Tenders were a little small but they were fresh. Fries were good but a little undercooked. The toast was good and fresh. I don’t like that the meals don’t include a drink. Raising canes includes a drink and the price is only about a dollar more. Here you have to spend $2.79 for a drink. And please don’t ask me to tip at a fast food restaurant. If I have to go to a counter and order my food, get my own drink and clear my own table then there is no tip.

The seasoning on the bites and tenders were delicious, the meat was surprisingly tender and juicy! The sauces were so tasty! The biggest hit was the chips, family absolutely lived them and would highly recommend. Definitely coming back again!

Huey Magoo’s has become our favorite place in Marysville! The chicken is so very tender and always tastes consistently delicious. Our favorite is the tenders tossed in buffalo. We love the toast too and the sauce selection. The salads are amazing too. This place is run so efficiently. We love getting carry out and using the drive-thru window to pick it up, but we usually just enjoy sitting down to eat inside. They are fast and the restaurant is always so clean.

TL;DR Better than Cane’s.

The place is clean and well kept. The selection of food is diverse having multiple options for the chicken dishes. The toast is adequate, though you might need to fold it to get it in the dipping cup since it is a normal size slice of bread. The seasoned fries don’t require dipping sauce and are properly cooked. The tenders are about the average size of a chicken wing, with a crispy outer layer and moist inside that speaks to the quality of both the chicken and prep that goes into it. The cran-pom lemonade has a good ratio of tart and sweet. Finally, the banana pudding to finish off the meal. The large size pudding is designed for multiple servings. With banana chopped up in it, it rates highly for banana pudding.

The seasoning was honestly enough that neither the chicken nor fries need the dipping sauce, but the sauce paired well with both and is not overly heavy on mayo/ketchup.

The drive-thru appears to be for mobile pickup only and not a standard drive-thru. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was ready before I even finished getting my drink, so impeccable speed. The manager checked on if I needed anything multiple times like you might expect from wait staff at a restaurant.

I know some people complained about the portion sizes, but I had difficulties finishing a 5 tender, fries, and no slaw extra toast. So I feel that was likely judged based on perceived size amd not how filling the meal was.

The chicken was pretty good. The coleslaw was kinda flavorless. The crinklecut fries were alright. My biggest gripe? The suggested tip for nothing more than taking your order. If you aren’t paying your people enough that they can’t survive without a tip, re-evaluate your pay structure.

Seen where they had built this restaurant not too long ago. Decided to give it a try and see how it compares to Raising Cane’s. The one major difference is that the combos at Canes come with a drink, Huey’s you have to purchase separately. I will say that I thought the breading had better flavor and the fries had better seasoning. But overall, Cane’s is a better deal price wise and for the portions.
