My brutha told me about this spot near 138th and the Bruckner Blvd that has good smoked foods. He’s practically a meat connoisseur so I was curious to see what this place was about. The inside definitely gives me cozy, barbecue house vibes; the wooden furniture and bar was a nice touch. Kinda like how you would order at a fast food spot, you go up to the counter and order what you want and a waiter/waitress will bring you your order. They have a 5% off discount if you pay with cash They have brunch and happy happy hour menus too, as well as catering. I had the 6 piece smoked jerk chicken wings with two sides, the mac and cheese and seasoned french fries. Everything tasted good to me I’m a big foodie so I’m content so long as I enjoy the meal. The jerk sauce was authentic, made me have a glass of water on standby. The meat was tender and cooked through and through. The Mac and cheese was flavorful and was made with a different noodle than the usual macaroni noodle (I forgot the name, but it’s one of those spiral ones). The fries were seasoned well and not overpowering either I also drank the Bacardi punch, it was sweet and refreshing in my opinion. I can definitely see myself coming back to this corner spot, I’m thankful for my brutha for inviting me out last night He loved his food too

I recently stopped by Hudson Smokehouse in the Bronx and ordered the brisket, turkey, mac & cheese, and baked beans.
The brisket was the standout: tender, properly smoked, and sliced thick enough to hold its structure without drying out. It had a deep, smoky flavor without being overpowered by sauce. The smoked turkey was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and a great lighter counterpoint to the brisket.
On the sides, the mac & cheese was rich and comforting with a solid balance of creaminess and bite, while the baked beans had good depth—slightly sweet, slightly savory, and clearly simmered with care rather than treated as an afterthought.

You will love this place. I thought I might not like ordering at the counter but our meal was at out table before I had a chance to take off my coat. Everything was very good moist and flavorful. Our drinks also arrived in a timely fashion and we had a great time it’s a 10 outta 10 from me. Couldn’t take a picture of the food because it was gone that fast.

Best potato salad ever !! I ordered the half rack of ribs, they were falling off the bone! The service was good. A real family vibe. Will definitely be coming back again! The girl who was at the register was a big help being that it was me and my boyfriend’s first time. She gave us good recommendations that fits our palette.

I order the half rack because I wasn’t that hungry but it was really good the meat was perfect cooked, I didn’t like the Mac & cheese but I give to my friend and he almost eat the container hahahaha and I know next time I make sure I go ready to eat a full rack. Good job guys

Okay I trust them for great smoky ribs and I haven’t had any in a while so I decided to treat myself. I ordered half a slab and for the first time I decided to try the collard greens and let me just say that WHOEVER MADE THEM GREENS NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY! I took one fork full and spat it out! The only thing ill eat here are the ribs because the sides ain’t hitting at all!

The Hudson Smokehouse food was good. It was the first time I had been there. I ordered the cookout, which came with 3 meats , 2 sides, and cornbread. The pastrami was so good and juicy, jalapeno cheddar sausage was good. I didn’t like the ribblets too much. The pieces I had were hard. The cornbread was very sweet. It had honey in it. The potato salad was tasty but was made with a lot of mustard. We had a great time and would go back. The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to go to the counter to order your food. I guess that’s how it’s done at Smokehouses. Next time, I will be getting the brisket and pastrami with the cucumbers salad or creamy potatoes, and the prices are not bad at all. The cookout runs you about 39.00 + tax dollars. Sides about $5.75 + tax. I just recommended Hudson Smokehouse to a co-worker, and she’s going with friends today after work.
