Reviews
Think 1950s desert glam & pink flamingo retro charm.
If you love retro kitsch, old-school California flair, and places that don’t take themselves too seriously, this spot absolutely delivers.
Same fabulous owner Kate — who also owns Huddy’s on PCH in South Redondo (formerly Hudson House) — but this Hermosa location is a whole different vibe. Feminine-forward, female-dominated, tropical, beachy, gorgeous… all the things that scream coastal brunch perfection.
I came for brunch with my girl Dina and everything was flawless.
I ordered the 2×2 basic breakfast with eggs over medium — slightly runny, exactly how I love them. They even subbed my hash browns for fries (because I am not a hash brown girl). Zero hesitation, zero attitude. Just great service.
Now let’s talk cocktails — because Huddy’s does not play.
Christina did the bar program and she absolutely understood the assignment. Every drink is elevated, thoughtful, and dangerously good.
I started with the Keep Hermosa Hermosa — a bittersweet Hermosa Beach twist on a Manhattan (in my opinion) and it is to die for.
Then I ordered the Vietnamese coffee cocktail (check the menu for the exact name) — a boozy, creamy Vietnamese coffee situation that is easily my favorite drink in a long time. I’m not even supposed to have caffeine and I still ordered two. Don’t judge. You will too.
Service was top tier.
Miranda behind the bar — new to me and already a favorite. So warm, welcoming, and on point.
And then my boy Justin from Huddy’s Redondo was behind the bar and I was so happy to see him. Always friendly, always amazing.
Huddy’s at the Beach is brunch, cocktails, femininity, beach energy, and Hermosa vibes all wrapped into one beautiful space.
I cannot recommend it enough.
I will be back. And back. And back. And back.
Until I move to Hawaii.
If you’re not brunching at Huddy’s, you’re doing Hermosa wrong.
