This place is super over priced and mediocre. The menu states on the cover an upcharge of 3% due to “food chain shortage ” on top of inflated prices. Way to stick it to the average citizen. Coffee is $3. Kids drinks are $2. Food had no salt or pepper and was just blah. We did not get syrup until we were done eating. We travel often and like to try new places. It was our first and last visit to this chain. The waiter was very nice but the female waitress had a very dirty apron. Kinda grossed me out because she brought out our food.

1st off I’m a huge waffle house fan and they don’t have a Huddle house in Galveston so I was excited to go here. I expected it to be pretty good and it did not disappoint. The food was great came out hot the waitresses were very very busy but on top of their game.

Stopped to get gas and take a rest stop break. Figured I needed food. Saw the huddle house and immediately drove over after getting gas. It sounded a lot better than Denny’s. Very clean outside/parking spots were open and clean. LOVED the day Lilly’s outside. Came in and it was a sit wherever you like. The whole menu was available all day everyday. I’m from AR so I had to ask how sweet the peach tea was due to not liking overly sweetened teas. It’s sweetened with the peach syrup and made with unsweetened tea and the waiter Alex gave the option of being made with sweet tea. It was perfect as made. Immediately saw the breakfast menu and automatically picked the loaded hash browns. 100% would get and recommend to anyone. the hot sauce option (though I’m kinda picky about my hot sauces) added just the right heat to my platter. Over all felt comfortable, the staff was friendly and seemed to know people on a friendship level. It was very comforting as an out of towner. 10/10 would go back. Also taxation is theft so always tip your waiters/waitresses and would recommend cash tips for this reason.

We were passing through on our way to Chicago from St Louis, and had the best waiter. I think his name was Alex, he was so good, he constantly came to our table and sure we were ok and if one us a problem with our order, he quickly resolve it. If there were more than 5 stars I would give him 10.
