My hubby walked across the street 4 Times in 2025 to get Take-Out because we wanted to be watching the Football games while eating our very filling Huckleberry’s meals! As you can see, he had Double Cheeseburger and fries I had fried catfish with fries 2 days in a row! Reasonable prices, too! Our meals are on the right, compared to the restaurant pictures on the left! About the same, huh?! Now it’s 2026 and we’re back again ordering Take-Out again twice in 1 week! I had breakfast for the 1st time, French toast scambled eggs with cheese and hash browns and scrambled eggs with cheese 4 link sausages on sourdough bread! Next lunch, same as in 2025, me the catfish sandwich, Big Double 1/4 pounder cheeseburger with fries after 3 bites, he had to put it the frig! I was full off my garlic, Parmesan cheese and American cheese fries!

With prices now a days the difference between fast food and situations down are close.
Huckleberry was my choice to sit down and they did not disappoint
Staff greates friendly and was able to sit down.
Decided to try something different, well bayou red was new and it didn’t not disappoint.
Food came out cooked to order.
Potatoes where buttery and soft, perfect. Egg made to order, steak was excellent.
Now the blueberry muffin was moist and cake like. Cake as in airy. Not dry.
Worth the try and I’ll be a regular when I’m town.
Look forward to trying the lunch to see if it beat the breakfast.

The service we received from Clara was outstanding! And the food was sooo good and fresh and well seasoned. The prices were fair and portions are great as well with plenty of left overs to take home.

Some dishes are great, some are disappointing. I love their skillets and omelets! However, their chicken and waffles had dry and underseasoned chicken and was pretty mid overall. And their catfish dish had a great flavor, but the fish itself was overcooked and tough to eat.

Ciara is the best! Super friendly, but still professional. Got my Mom everything she needed. Brought things right *before* we asked for them. Got my hashbrowns made *exactly* the way I like them, which is seemingly almost impossible in Sacramento. The food was wonderful and plentiful. Always get the Huckleberry Muffin. You won’t regret it. I love this place. Give Ciara a raise!

Same great staff. Hannah the manager always takes the time to greet the customers. Nice selections to choose from, lunch served all day, now serves alcohol. To be honest, this place does not cross our minds to frequent anymore. The menu lacks any options for me unless I want a salad or fruit.
We ordered a Bubba burger with chili Cajun fries, a side salad and a single pancake. He loved the Bubba which had everything he loves on a burger, egg, bacon, the works. The side salad fresh. The pancake not my favorite. Too thick and it had an off taste of the grill or something. Sandra was our server and she was attentive, helpful and friendly

We usually go to the location in Elk Grove, but stumbled across this location on a fluke! We stopped in and were greeted warmly and seated in a great spot and had a great waitress! I hate I forgot her name, but she was really good! We didn’t have to keep up with her, she kept up with us and stayed on top of us without annoying us!! VERY important when dining out! We will be back soon! Had good food, but the pink lemonade was nothing like the Elk Grove location, it was a little sour rather than sweet like I like, that’s just my preference! It tasted more like minute made pink lemonade with too much ice.

First time here and off the bat (Right away) service went down hill. The only thing that was great to me was the water… Food was not the greatest, but you get big portions which I guess is cool. It for sure didn’t give me the let’s go back again vibe. If I was drunk or a stoner it would be my go to place though. 🙂 however eh wasn’t a great experience for me.

This spot is pure Americana. Not only with the old school feeling as far as seating and decor, but the food is top notch. I took a chance on the fried catfish and jambalaya. A total payoff because the chili and gumbo were absolutely incredible as well. There wasn’t one item I ordered that wasn’t top tier. This is a must stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Went here today with a friend. I ordered the Californian Benedict, which was a classic eggs Benny with fried green tomatoes instead of ham. As a ham hater and a tomato lover, this was made for me! It was delish!.
The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing, and when they brought the check, told my friend and i not to rush since we were mid-chat, which was appreciated!
The atmosphere was cute and campy, even if the cricket noise at the front was a bit irritating for me (but you cant really hear it once seated).
It’s not a high end dining experience, but for good breakfast or lunch diner fair to munch on while you chat, come to Huckleberry’s!
