Wow! We just discovered this place! The food was excellent! The fried green tomatoes were delish! The stuffed French toast was excellent, and the Cajun Benedict and crab cake Benedict were top notch! Try the swamp ice tea! You will not be disappointed! The service was great and the atmosphere was so fun!

Sadly it was way better a year ago 🙁
It’s pretty dirty now, very quiet and no music except the kitchen jammin.. and the food was pretty but very bland except the topping.
I was pretty excited to come back but this experience was nothing like last time. They could definitely use a good deep clean throughout the entire place.. even if a place isn’t great food wise the environment can make it worth it.

I would give the service a 10 if I could. Everyone was so incredibly nice, and I couldn’t believe how good the food was. I’ve tasted and had so many burgers, I consider myself to be a un-proffesional professional burger connoisseur. This burger (specifically The Big Cheesy) was one of the best burger I’ve ever had. I couldn’t and didn’t want to finish it off, as I really wanted to savor it for later. It was just that good. The lemonade really captured the taste of Huckleberry. I took the picture after drinking it, but it came out with a sliced lemon, and a sugar coating on the lid. At the bottom was a boat-load of Huckleberry, and that was a great touch. I’m just impressed and wowwed about how good not just the burger, but the entire place was. The staff was top-notch, and I can’t wait to go back.

Awesome spot to enjoy a good meal and great serving sizes. Alyssa took care of my family and I, but the entire staff was great & friendly. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

2nd time coming here and the food wasn’t the best. Gumbo was not good at all. People talk about this chicken all time. I tried and it wasn’t the best. My server only brought my family 2 rounds of sodas the entire time we where there. 1 hrs 20 min with 7 people at the table barley getting severed. Wish everyone the best on trying there food. This is not the for me.

This breakfast-lunch spot is unique in that it has a Louisiana theme, both with the menu and with the decor. The menu features a shrimp Po’ Boy, gumbo, and beignets among other things Louisiana.

I had The Riverboat omelet which comes with something called “country reds”. I couldn’t find an explanation on the menu. Basically, Country Reds are Redskin potatoes that appear to have been boiled and then baked along with red and green bell peppers and onions.

Interestingly, I didn’t detect any Cajun seasonings in my omelette or in the potatoes. I ordered a side of bacon which turned out to be two pretty small pieces for $4.99.

The server was fantastic but overworked. Essentially this one sweet girl had the entire restaurant and by my count seven tables while other employees did very little to help her that I could see. So things moved a little slow. Surely at least one of them could have walked around with a water pitcher and helped a little bit? But this was not the case.

If this place had one shaker of Cajun seasoning and at least one other helpful employee, it would really hit the mark. It’s definitely good and worth four stars.

‼️Customer Service was good but we were taken $29.39 of tips which is 17.73% tip ! And I don’t think that’s right tip are just supposed to be voluntary additional sum and it was just automatically taken from us. It might have just been our waiter because we have been to several huckleberry locations and never had that happen so make sure to double check receipt before paying. ‼️

We visited this location in early February 2022 for bunch on a Saturday morning. The wait was longer than expected and there was not an option for reservations at a fixed time.

The restaurant was freshly remodeled with a nice seating area that included tables and booths. Our server Jordan was exceptional and helpful, checking in on us just enough but not hovering at the table. She was top notch.

The food we ordered was delicious. Good southern comfort food that checked all the brunch boxes for our party. Noteworthy was the chicken fried steak, biscuits, French toast, and huckleberry muffin.

If you can get in without a long wait this is a great breakfast spot in South Reno.

The best food and the best customer service. They go out of their way to make sure you’re happy the best Southern comfort food . Because it’s good for the soul. Haven’t had a single thing we didn’t like. We will keep going back again and again. A true gem right in reno Nevada a much needed different place in Reno

We drove all the way from Cold Springs & I wanted good Southern cuisine & was recommended to come here. Plenty of choices, my catfish was fresh, the crab tasty, their caramel ice coffee good too. They are friendly large portions & I am on my way back on Monday . I was able to eat with my family & didn’t spend lots of cash. I’m coming back for more!

Our Server was just so friendly and made sure we were happy and satisfied

Not disappointed
By far best food I’ve had
And I will wait two hours again to eat there

Food was cold and overcooked. Asked for over easy eggs got probably passed over medium closer to overhard.
The Beignets don’t even waste your time not enough powdered sugar for 1 and they look like overgrown hush puppies from Long John Silver’s.
Nothing like Louisiana food.
Server was nice and checked on us regularly I just didn’t know how to tell her that none of the food was good so I paid for it and left. Not going back. It’s really a shame I was so excited to have a louisiana-based joint here in town especially with beignets. Big let down.
