We stopped by Huck Finn’s and it did NOT disappoint!

The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside — full of flavor. The fried pickles had the perfect crunch with just the right amount of tang. The shrimp were golden and delicious, and the hushpuppies? Absolute perfection.

If you’re craving classic Southern comfort food, this place is definitely worth the visit. Great food, great flavors, and everything cooked just right!

This family-owned all-you-can-eat catfish restaurant is an absolute gem!!! The catfish is consistently outstanding—golden, crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They also have all-you-can-eat chicken if catfish is not your thing. The all-you-can-eat menu is $25.99 so get your money’s worth. It’s fabulous.

The homemade sides truly complete the experience. Served family-style, homemade favorites like creamy coleslaw and warm hushpuppies and especially the white beans and ham are to die for. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and relaxed. It’s the kind of place you’ll never forget and you leave feeling grateful you found such a special spot.

I went on a Friday evening and was seated right a way. Service was quick and our server was super attentive and friendly. Though it was the off-season, I imagine this place gets pretty busy in peak season. It’s right on the main drag in Pigeon Forge so it’s easy to get to with plenty of parking. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone, especially those chicken or catfish enthusiasts with hardy appetites.

Huck Finn’s Catfish Restaurant delivers a true Southern comfort experience from the moment you sit down. Before we even ordered, they brought out hush puppies, coleslaw, and beans, which was unexpected but a great touch and everything was delicious.

We started with the gator bites, which were a bit pricey but tender and flavorful. The chicken fried steak was hearty and satisfying. The highlight was the catfish platter, the fish and fries were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside while staying soft and flaky inside.

The service was excellent and attentive, with staff checking on us often. Overall, a great spot for classic Southern food done right.

Our server Mo was great, super friendly and helpful. The vittals showed up fast, hot, and actually tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, the food overall was a massive letdown. Both the fried chicken and the whole catfish were completely soaked in oil, leaving a greasy mess all over the plate. To make matters worse, the chicken was soggy instead of crispy.

Because of the quality of the fried food, I wouldn’t come back here even for someone’s birthday. It just isn’t worth the visit when the primary dishes are this poorly executed. The sides and sweet tea are great but won’t save this review.

Great location, awesome food, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend. Came in the pouring down rain on 9-16-25 after driving 7 hours there. We were starved and this place hit the spot! The free Vittles were a great addition to the meals. If you don’t order a meal(s) then they’ll just charge you for the Vittles. Good food! Prefect location. The sweet tea was good too!

I loved the atmosphere. My husband had the all you can eat and loved it. I am gluten free so there was not much I could have here which is why I scored the way I did. I really hoped to be able to have the catfish in cornmeal but it has flour. Our server, Zander, was great!

Joshua was our server and I can’t say enough about his great, friendly service. It’s so nice to see old fashioned great customer care like this! Adorable restaurant with southern decor and a variety of catfish and other dishes. The Cole slaw is just the way we like it and prices are fair. Definitely recommend.

Went there this past September 2025 for dinner. Part of the visit was for nostalgia as this was the place we usually took our kids when we took them to the Smoky Mountains year after year. That was a good 25-30 years ago. It looked the same then as it does now. Food is good especially the catfish. They give out “fixins” complementary. Service was attentive. Atmosphere is mildly noisy with an open air dining room and plenty of families gathering. They have a touristy general store area as you pay your bill and head out.

While visiting Pigeon Forge Tennessee with my veteran family, my wife and I stopped in for the Catfish at Huck Finn’s Catfish. No one told us about Huck Finn’s, we were passing by and thought we would try. DELICIOUS! The Catfish was very tasty with a nice crunch on the outside tender on the inside. The tea was excellent. We also had chicken legs and wings! They were very tasty as well. Our host Allison I believe her name is was awesome! She made sure we were well taken care of! The tea she made was so good! We truly appreciate Allison. Huck Finn’s Catfish…..5 Stars

Make sure to try the chicken livers if you are a fan of liver, they are sure to be your new favorites. Ask for David!!!! One of the BEST servers that we have EVER experienced in Pigeon Forge! One of our favorite places to eat here!
