The pirogi had an awful meekly texture on the pasta and felt like it had been under the heat lamp quite a bit. The filing was surprisingly light and definitely tasty. The kielbasa was flavorful with the hot sauce, mustard, and sauerkraut. The roll could have been fresher.

When I heard Hubert talking to customers who know what they want I realized this is authentic! Having gone to many Polish delis in Ridgewood Queens it was surprising to find another amazing Polish place here! I had the sauerkraut soup with mashed potatoes and kielbasa. The first taste of stew in my mouth I could not stop eating it was so yum!

Old world goodness! Tried the Mielone and Leczo spicy stew. Nice workers who offered suggestions on toppings for a sausage sandwich. Pierogis were large and swimming in butter!!! Try it. Highly recommend!

Incredible polish food! I had the pierogis and cabbage rolls. The pierogis were a little tough but the filling was excellent. The cabbage roll was tasty, filled with meat and rice in a red sauce. I’ll be back!

I have been getting food from Hubert’s for about 15 years! Every time I go to North Market, I wonder if it’ll be the day I try something new. NOPE! I ALWAYS get Hubert’s… a mielone topped in stew, perogies topped in sautéed onions, mashed potatoes, and sauerkraut. The picture with all that was only $21 as of 2025!! He continues to keep the prices low but the food quantities huge. I got 3 meals out of that dish. Not to mention, the food is SOOO GOOD! And staff are beyond sweet each and every time. I pray that they continue to do business at North Market for years and years to come. It’s my absolute favorite meal EVER and I’m normally a queso & taco sort of girl if that gives you an idea of what a gem Hubert’s truly is.

I was staying at one of the Convention Center hotels, and walked to the North Market to find dinner. I’m so glad that I found this restaurant. The cabbage rolls (as big as a softball),and the perogies would have made for a satisfying comfort food meal. But if you order the special that includes a cabbage roll and two perogies, you also get a generous serving of one of the stews. The super friendly staffer who served me explained I should use the bigos (Polish sauerkraut stew) as a sauce for the cabbage roll. I don’t know much about Polish food, but the reviews agree that this is very authentic food. And it’s a revelation to have these cooked and served the way it’s supposed to be done. This sweet/sour/spicy stew combined with the down home cabbage roll with its rice and meat filling was just amazing. And the smooth warm cheese and potato filling of the perogies balanced the meal nicely. I hope I have the time to go back and try more of the entrees. Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Well worth it!

Went to North Market after a rain afternoon cancelled our Clippers game. I was struggling to decide which place to try but I kept walking past this Polish Kitchen and seeing the giant pierogi’s, stuffed cabbage, and kielbasa, I could say no. I tried the kielbasa with a pierogi and red stew. Also ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls with pierogi and spicy stew. Everything tasted just like my Nana made them. So delicious and tasted like so many family dinners growing up. Looking forward to coming back.

If you have been to the North Market and not tried Hubert’s then you’ve missed a gem. The food is authentic, the service is with a smile and often some humor to go with it. The food, particularly the pierogis and cabbage roll (spicy for me), is just delicious. I look forward to coming back to Columbus!

Staff was really friendly and helpful when choosing items. Prices were very reasonable. I ordered the pierogis and mielones (chicken balls) and it came with a side dish. I didn’t care for the side dish but the rest of the food was very palatable. Favorite was the chicken ball.
