Loved this beer garden in the woods along the Milwaukee River and the Oakleaf Trail. We stopped for a beer while on a bike ride and instantly loved this place. The wooded feel with the picnic tables just make you feel like you want to hang out and drink beer. The beer we had was excellent and the stop was an excellent respite. Can’t wait to go back with a bigger group and just hang and have fun. You have to check this one out.

I have been to this place many times as its nearby but I have never bought anything from them. I have food sensitivities so that is why…but I am writing this to describe the place so you know what to expect if you decide to come. I have also photographed the menu for you.
All of the seating is outdoors. There is no indoor seating.
During the winter they had a few igloos up that people could use and now they have switched to these big tents that have mesh walls that allows the air to pass through. There are also many rows of picnic tables and there are also benches in the nearby park. So yes, many places for you to sit.
This place does seem to be popular from what I have seen. I often see people with drinks and / or food.
Sometimes this park has concerts but I don’t know if they are going to do that this year.
The park is very peaceful and near the river. Great sights. Its very scenic. I often sit and relax in the park so I see people walking past with the food & drinks they have purchased. The park itself is clean and well cared for. I’ve seen the park employees do maintenance here often.

The perfect stop along the beer line trail. In the warmer months I love to walk or bike and stop here for rest and refreshment, or bring work and sit in the park with a beer or wine while I read.
There are many picnic tables, and it’s easy to find less crowded times to be there and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding park. There is an access point to the trail and bike racks.
As at most beer gardens, be prepared to pay a deposit and receive a token for your glass. The bar is NOT cash only!

We went last night and it was around maybe 15° at 8:00pm. We were kept warm all night. You are even given blankets. The waitress was very good at not opening the door quit often to the dome to keep the heat in. The set up was beautiful and cozy. The menu options were a good variety of appetizers, drinks, and main courses. I recommend the Hot Toddy , ribs, and I loved the bread that came with the chili. All in all it was a great experience after a long work week and I will most definitely be back for brunch.

Loved this Gem, found it on google maps. Came during the Oktoberfest Season. Was peaceful and not overcrowded. However I wish there was a band, probably just the day we came. Allows dogs, delicious large pretzel for a decent price and a good selection of beer. Tucked away in the woods.

The place I miss a lot. A great spot to spend some time while walking the trail.
Last year there was only and opportunity to drink beer or water. This year you can try here some food, ice cream and drink non-alcoholic beverages as well as beer. The tables are thoroughly cleaned after the guests leave. Friendly staff and nice people inside.

This is my least favorite beer garden. Limited beer choices, limited food choices and a seating area that felt confining. The staff was not very inviting as well. Was told upon opening that only beer was available but another patron was told brats were ready. Got a lecture about where to return the empty beer steins. Found the location of the restrooms from the dining room staff who were smoking in the back. Not the type of atmosphere you expect from a beer garden.

The indoor restaurant’s fish fry was absolutely disgusting. The cod was not made to order and had been sitting out for a while. The blackened salmon tasted like it was cooked in old oil.

Great place to bike to on the Oak Leaf Trail. The drinks were good and it’s a super relaxed atmosphere. Feel free to bring your kids. There were fun yard games and it’s close enough to walk to the Milwaukee river.
