I tried this spot on Christmas Day, and I am super impressed!
– Food: we got the house spicy fish and it was delicious! Very balanced flavor with super tender fish. You can adjust the spice level but medium was the perfect amount of spice for me. The eggplant dish was also incredible, the sauce was to die for. We also really enjoyed the soup and dumplings, though the fish was definitely the star of the show. The food we ordered was plenty for 3 people.
– Service: there was no wait at 6pm on Monday. very attentive servers who are happy to give menu recommendations. Easy to navigate menu with photos. Also takeout is packaged really well- if you order a full dish to go it comes packaged with a burner to keep the fish warm!
Overall, great spot for small & large parties (there’s private larger dining rooms in the back). I will be coming back to try their other fish flavors!

This place is so yummy and a hit no matter who you come with.
My favorite to order in order is
1) sweet and sour fried fish
2) sauteed eggplant with fish flavor (idk why it’s so good here)
3) house special fish
4) Brown sugar cakes
Everything is good but those are my favorite go to.
The staff are so friendly and kind as well. It’s my go to family style restaurant.

We really loved the whole catfish that can feed 4 easily! The fish is baked and then placed in a big soup pot. The soup you can choose from many different styles including some that are spicy. You also have some included vegetables as well, but you can also order more such as bean curd and fish balls and fish tofu. I didn’t think the whole fish may have filled up 4 people as much as I thought, so it’s okay if you like to order some side dishes or even rice to enjoy! I also really like the tea they had today, which was a chrysanthemum tea. Service was just amazing and the server was very enthusiastic and engaging! Because there weren’t too many people tonight, it was easy for the waiter to service us quickly. I also really loved the furniture and the decorations that have a very oriental theme to it. I really like the chairs and the tables and how they fit in well, but I can imagine it can be uncomfortable for some since they’re so stiff. I think this is a great place to come with friends and know each one in the party will get to share particular dish!

I ordered the fresh grilled fish and some add-on. The staff mentioned that we should let the fish cooked for a while first to enhance the flavor. I agreed with the tips. The food flavor was mild at first, but the flavor got better and better if you let it cook for another 10 minutes or so. I actually appreciated that so I don’t have to drink a lot of water to balance it out.
So it was a good dinner, will come back if I am around.

Wow this place is absolutely amazing!! I’ve come here twice, once on Chinese new year and everything here has been so good.
Live catfish – I’ve gotten this in the house spicy and the signature sauce and both were really good. The fish seems to be grilled and placed in the soup which is the sauce that you order. From there you can order add ons such as mushrooms, noodles, etc. I really enjoyed the signature sauce and the wide vermicelli noodles are a must. The house spicy was quite spicy so beware! I’ve ordered the live fish option and each time it’s been super fresh and the fish is soft and buttery.
Sweet and sour fish – if you can only get one dish here this is the one!! The chef must be a genius because this dish was gone in a flash and was everyone’s favorite. Even when we were stuffed full we were considering ordering another one.
For vegetables everything we’ve ordered has exceeded our expectations. I would recommend the fish flavored sautéed eggplant, dry fried green beans, and dry pot cabbage.
For desert I would recommend the pumpkin cakes

I am a regular customer. I always order fresh/live grilled fish, but sometimes I feel the quality is not consistent. I am not an expert of fish. But, is it normal if a live grilled fish has very loose skin? The skin falls off very easily as shown in the pictures. I’d love to increase the rating if I was wrong. I would be very disappointed if it is not a live grilled fish, cause the live one is more expensive.

The grilled hot pot fish is phenomenal, we ordered two fishes and with lots of side dishes/vegetables. The restaurant is owned by a small chinese family, who really make an effort to cater to customers. Will definitely be back with friends!

This is not authentic grilled fish, the fish is not well grilled. It is put in hot pot sauce(the flavor you can buy from Ranch 99} and you can boil it together with vegetables. If you are looking for authentic Chinese grilled fish, this is not the one. But the up side is, the live caught fish quality is good. so it cancel the down side. So if you want to eat good quality fish which is spicy, this can be tried out. We also order grilled chicken wing and sautés lettuce for our kid because he can not eat spicy food. Unfortunately, they are super salty so I have to use hot water to rinse the vege They are very kind to cancel the chicken wing because we did not eat it. I would not come for dishes other than grilled fish. the service is super good among the Chinese restaurants
