I have ordered from here several times and it used to be great. The last time I ordered there was a roach in my turnip greens!!! I tried calling them several times and no one would answer, there was no email provided so I went down there and quietly asked for the manager. They said he wasn’t there. I asked if he would be back the next day and what was his name all they said was just that he wasn’t there. I told them what happened and even showed them the roach!!! No expression, no apology.
They told me I could write down my info and he would call me.
Never got a call!!!! I will never go back. I’m pretty sure the management has changed.

My wife said 10 years ago when she lived here this place was amazing. Sadly that was not the case today.
We walked in to one employee on her phone and didn’t want to help with our order. The other was very impatient. I ordered the whiting fish and it was either old or just over cooked and very dried out. Wife had the chicken and dressing and it was just ok. We all had Mac and cheese and my wife said it taste like box or worst. The fountain machine was dirty so we got water. The bath room was dirty. This is not soul food. Just over priced food

The food was terrible. The greens were so stringy. The cornbread was hard and tasteless. The fish was fried to hard to eat. Even the chocolate cake was awful.
I NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN AND WOULDN’T RECOMMEND ANY HUMAN TO EAT THERE. IT WAS BETTER 8 years ago when I was here. NOT WORTH IT.

After months of living close by, I finally decided to give this place a try. So glad I did! I ordered the catfish with macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes as my sides. Everything was so tasty! My only complaint is that the roll was tiny. However, given the very reasonable prices, I can live with a small roll. The service was also great! They seem to run very efficiently. So glad to know there’s a good meat n 3 in my neighborhood!

When my husband says to write a review, the food is very good. Catfish, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and green beans for him, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and macaroni and cheese for me. Both were delicious but especially the catfish which was the best he’s ever had. We both highly recommend this place.

For 17.00 I definitely expected to enjoy my dinner but the turnip greens were from the can, the chicken and dressing was definitely all boxed with no taste, the Mac and cheese was ok could’ve been better, thank God my daughter bought the piece of cheese pie for me but I hate she waisted her money because it didn’t have the taste that it was supposed to have. i spent 17.00 on a full meal that was thrown together no season or actually cooked food so it should have been no more than 8.00 if that considering nothing was good

Stopped by on our road trip and so glad we did! The food was outstanding, the service was incredible! Hattie, the owner, was a true vision of Southern hospitality and made us feel like we were at home. I wish we lived closer so we could come back all the time, especially for the Mac n cheese and the company!

Ordered Uber eats and got the chicken and dressing with mashed pot, green beans and cornbread. It was a huge portion. Definitely enough for 2 meals. I also got the meatloaf which tasted very fresh and homemade. I would def order again from here! I found it all to be very tasty.

No longer owned by Hattie! You wouldn’t know that when you walk in except there is no black staff at all. I asked, “is this place still owned by Hattie?” He said “I think so” Straight lied to my face. We got the food to go, drove 7 mins home and REALLY realized this is NOT HATTIES FOOD! OKRA GREASY AND BURNT, CABBAGE BLAND, GREENS STRINGY, MACARONI SALTY, CHICKEN FRIED STEAK UNDER COOKED. CORNBREAD HARD AS A BOARD AND NOT SWEET AT ALL. WE spent $60 on this TRASH. I called back just now and said this is not Hatties food, I asked you if she still owns it and you said you think so, he goes yes she is still the owner. Lying again. Its one thing to buy a business but your whole business is built on a LIE. THIS IS NOT BLACK OWNED AND NOT OWNED BY HATTIE ANYMORE AND THE FOOD AND STAFF TELL THE STORY!
Update i Spoke To Hattie P. The FORMER Owner on 2.5.26 she confirmed that she sold it on January 01, 2024. She is disappointed the Owner pretends she is still associated as she has no partnership or investment in the New H and T. She is enjoying retirement and wishes her old friends and family that were her customer base well.
