Wow! Tremendous BBQ from a small diner-esque restaurant in Huron, Ohio. The meat is so moist and fall off the bone delicious. You can tell the cook/owner takes pride in his work. We have ordered dinner twice already. The most recent time we got their pulled pork, which was amazing. So easy to eat. Not tough like some other places. And please, get a large side of their baked beans. Soooo good.

Well, if you want authentic, pit smoked flavor, special rubs on choice meats and amazing sides, this is THE place!! The quality food found here seems to have escaped other local area “BBQ” joints where corners are cut for the ease of quantity. Not so here as when they sell out, the door is locked so they can begin the same quality process for the food served tomorrow. They take their time, smoking and slow cooking their offerings, just the way it should be done. There is no rushing the process and, as a result, you get that tender brisket and smoky pulled pork that is mouth-watering and tastebud-titillating.
The word is getting out so get there early and get yours before the getting has to wait a day.

AHHHMAZING brisket! Tender, and delicious with that coveted pit smoked flavor not readily found at many, and seemingly elusive to most BBQ joints, but definitely not the case here!
HQ Barbecue takes it’s time and does it right.
From hand selected choice meat, to their special rubs and close attention to quality from the butcher shop to your table, the proof is ALL there in the flavor.
The side items are equally on par with the smoked meats too! The baked beans were loaded with smokey bacon, the coleslaw was excellent, but the chicken pot pie…. Showstopper! Literally chocked full of tender chicken with veggies and the flakiest delicious pie crust, so incredible it’ll remind you of the homemade pie crusts that your grandma used to make from scratch!
From beginning to end, the food here is unparalleled, as is the customer service from the owner Gene and his always courteous and smiling staff! I wouldn’t be surprised if this gem (quietly tucked in a plaza for the moment) doesn’t explode in popularity and quickly outgrow it’s location (maybe even franchise???)
My brother and I stopped here on a drive from Michigan and I can’t wait to go back and would eat here everyday if I were local!
