Had absolutely amazing experience at Howoo. First time trying Korean BBQ and it’s going to be hard to beat this place. Food was absolutely delicious. We got the elite duo package and the meat was the best we’ve had and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were very delicious as well, and they get refilled if you ask. Pot rice and cold noodles were so unique and tasty. The staff and servers were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Ambiance and vibe was very sleek and nice, great for a date night out.

It’s one of the best Korean bbq experience in the city! The meat quality was amazing. Side dishes(banchans) were authentic and the soy bean soup as well. The cold spicy noodle is lil spicy at the end. Highly recommend

Howoo Korean BBQ was hands down one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. The ventilation deserves special recognition–absolutely outstanding. There was zero smoke smell, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

The service was warm, welcoming, and extremely attentive. What truly elevated the experience was that the server cooks the meats perfectly for you, allowing my friends and I to fully relax without worrying about timing or technique. Our server checked in often and made sure we never ran low on side dishes, happily offering refills whenever needed.

Speaking of the banchan, there was an impressive variety and every single one was delicious. The meat selection was excellent, the wagyu truly stood out–incredibly tender and literally melted in our mouths.

Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I would 100% come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-tier Korean BBQ in NYC.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday at Howoo. My husband who’s a vegetarian was able to get a kimchi stew, an egg soufflé and a good selection of banchan that are vegetarian friendly. Even we didn’t get to order much meat and thus a lower dollar bill, the staff and manager were so friendly and thoughtful – they treated us so nicely. I will definitely come back.

Super impressed with this place – it must be an old nightclub venue because it just gives off that energy with the coat check, door separating hostess table from the dining area, the second floor balcony, everything!

For the dinner itself – we got the $165 duo to split between three people and it was an ENDLESS amount of food. Granted we are three women, but it would be really hard to leave hungry with all the endless banchan and sides they provide, not to mention the soft serve at the end. The meats were cooked perfectly, our server was very attentive and made helpful suggestions throughout the meal as to how to best eat each cut, and the side dishes were diverse and flavorful.

Seriously impressed overall, and I don’t think the price point is actually that high for what you get. They also do a special dessert for your birthday which was cute!

I was seated at the bar, which was still a great experience with a nice view of the grill. I also had the soft eggs and cold noodles, and it was very filling — honestly more satisfying than many AYCE spots, but with much better quality. Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance.

Good experience, the ambiance felt very slick and spacious. I liked the black look everywhere throughout the restaurant and it was a well maintained space.

Value wise, I left feeling full but not bloated, which is good. Most of the meats were high quality, and there were plenty of other veggies to balance out the meal. I didn’t think there was a lot of meat but that also means no meat sweats which is good.

No plain white rice served was quite disappointing, and there could have been more variety of meats that were not A5 Wagyu but more meaty.

Overall, I left feeling satisfied but not something I’d immediately return back to, as I think Cote and even Nubiani provided a bit more value and better side dishes.

booked for a reservation at 5pm but they graciously accommodated for us to be seated earlier. the service was amazing, everyone was working very hard to keep things moving along. as the meat was being brought to our table, they noticed they forgot certain elements of the presentation and quickly rectified. i really appreciated the level of attention to detail and service. our server, didn’t catch her name, she was very attentive and kind.

although some cuts of the meats were a bit tough and stringy, but they were cooked to perfection nonetheless. the banchans were standard, the multi grain rice was sensational (it’s not too common for other kbbq restaurants to serve) so i was pleasantly surprised.

the atmosphere was very intimate and luxurious, every washroom had private stalls

Visited on a Sunday night, with no prior reservation, and got seated almost immediately. Was super impressed that there was a coat check (although we werent able to utilize because they were closing soon- we arrived around 915) and then even more impressed as the host walked us into the main dining area. Its HUGE, and even more so when considering this is NYC.

Service was 10/10. We forgot to ask for our waiter’s name but he brought us out some dessert wines after we off handedly mentioned it was our 2 year wedding anniversary, all while apologizing that he didnt get a chance to send us some bubblies to start. All of his food recommendations and drink pairing were great as well and did not let us down.

Food was also 10/10!! We compared this to Cote, which personally didnt blow us away, and my husband and I both agree probably one of the best KBBQ spots in NJ/NY. We always judge a kbbq spot by its banchan and kimchi, and both the cabbage and aged kimchi were perfectly to our taste. Beware, they are both abit fishy forward (either shrimp paste or fish sauce?) but we thought it was well balanced and quite tasty. The other banchans were excellent as well and we didnt even finish half of them as we were so full.

For main course, we got the elite duo, and were NOT disappointed. The soybean stew was great and the naengmyun was so perfectly chewy. I thought the rice was also an excellent touch, made with shitake mushrooms and ginko. However, beware – i think you only get the rice if you order one of the stews. And it should go without saying that the meats and BBQ were amazing and the waiters do an excellent job of explaining each dish and how best to enjoy them, which i think is great for those who may be new tp kbbq.

Definitely will be back, thank you!

Authentic Korean BBQ and banchan. I’d say one of the best kimchi I have had among higher end Korean restaurants. Fresh and flavorful even on non-marinated beef. Great servers with etiquette, hip and modern atmosphere, clean restrooms. If you know Eleven Madison and how organized their kitchen is, you will appreciate the orderly atmosphere, yet the butchers are openly visible. Tried signature cocktails which complement Korean food. Did not disappoint introducing an elevated Korean BBQ experience. Though we were two, the tables are four tops, not one of those small two tops like other Korean restaurants, which facilitated generous food ordering spread out beautifully. Enjoyed every minute of it. Group private rooms upstairs.
