Incredibly cozy European style lager bar. Excellent curated beer menu and lots of tasty small plates. House made bread and Austrian cheese are amazing, house lager is a can’t miss!

A uniquely European experience in VT!

I’m psyched to have a lager forward spot opening up in the Winooski circle. The folks behind the bar have procured a really solid selection of beers on tap so far and I noticed they have three Lukr pours available. They’re super friendly and knowledgeable and eager to chat about the drinks if you need a recommendation or want to learn more.

The house kellerbier (Howl Via) is basically perfect, sweet like a Helles and lower carbonation so it’s dangerously crushable.

Legitimately one of my favorite places in chittenden county or Vermont as a whole.

Super unique, very knowledgeable, and really adding something new and different to the VT beer scene. These folks work really hard to import and curate an amazing selection of harder to find brews and all with a small yet excellent selection of snacks and bites.

The only place I will order a Guinness in this state and looking forward to getting there more!

So glad we found this spot! Great selection of classic Eastern European styles, with a couple of hand selected special bottles that were very interesting. (There are other beer types as well. Orval FTW!) Owner is super knowledgeable and gets the vibe that we are looking for. Its a place to chat and chill, without the distraction of TVs and loud tunes.

Definitely a slow option but the space and drinks are great. Quite a few bars walking distance away too so you just have to park once and check out quite a few spots

Great spot for a beer. Cozy vibes. More laid back than 4 quarters. They serve some snacks and small plates so service animals only. Service dogs only.

Awesome to have a new spot in Winooski serving some German goodness. Very cozy vibe, great service, great beer!

Food is snacky & light but great considering what they have for space. Got the beer cheese and really enjoyed the bread. Would love to see a pretzel on the menu eventually!

Met the guys who run the place late on a Monday night during a business trip to Burlington. Got to talking to them. Super knowledgeable about their menu and very fun to chat with. Great food. Really interesting drinks. I can tell a lot of care and love goes into it. Definitely recommend it.

A great beer and bites spot in Winooski; a complementary brew pub alongside 4Q and Mule Bar.. in fact, the bartenders and brewers at both of these spots highly recommended Howl. My first visit didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back soon!
