Howell’s Ice Cream King seems to have a line all day long. I visited on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon and there was still a line the whole time. A good business person knows that people are willing to wait for good food, service, andor price. The service was friendly, fast, and the prices were fair. A cool refreshment on a hot day was just what we needed. The ice cream was very enjoyable. I was even lucky enough to visit on a day they had a blue dinosaur dancing out front, fun. Ice cream should be fun. They also recently added a pavilion out back to increase seating options. Good call for such a busy establishment.

Great place for ice cream or a quick bite! They have an enormous selection of ice cream and frozen beverages as well as a great variety of hot food! It is seasonal eatery and it only has outdoor seating but the food is so good that it doesn’t affect a 5 star review. My suggestion- add on with indoor seating and stay open year round!

We were just there this evening, first time this year (we normally go a few times throughout the summer since we live close),we only stopped for ice cream and my kids orders were placed, we asked what was on something and replied with “oh ok, I don’t like bananas” and proceeded to order a fudge sundae with extra fudge. Paid and waited for our ice cream and first thing she goes to hand out was the item we asked what was on it. I replied with “no we didn’t order that” and she took it back, a few minutes later she hands out the exact same cup after she went and dug through it(we figured she did by the looks of it but the hidden banana pieces she missed was a dead give away). I had already paid double the item I actually ordered for the item she charged me for, and didn’t say a word, all I expected was my actual item, but nope instead got food someone dug around in. But the straw that broke the camels back was when I had mentioned I didn’t order that the girl closed the window and flung her arms in the air like it was my fault she didn’t listen. I normally Give small businesses many chances but after digging around in food and the girls attitude we won’t be back!

We love going here! Picnic tables under a roof, it’s clean, prices are inexpensive, and food tastes great! Staff is never rude, wait time is always an appropriate amount for the orders we get! I highly recommend this place.
