This is a wonderful local establishment—truly a mom-and-pop gem that makes you feel like part of the family the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of personality. If it’s your first time visiting, be prepared for a fun surprise: you might have to do a little dance before getting your food! It’s a hilarious and charming icebreaker that instantly makes you feel like you’re becoming part of Howard’s family.
The service was fantastic—special shout-out to Ms. Wanda for making the experience even better with her kindness and energy. The food itself was comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Every dish tasted like home.
I’ll definitely be heading back, and if you haven’t visited yet, you absolutely should. It’s a place that feeds both your stomach and your spirit.

Now I’ll tell yall what – this is some damn good breakfast ! Best I’ve had since I can remember, no wait and the food is piping and tastes delicious!
If you’re a breakfast person like me this is a must try – 100% recommend. Forewarning the owner is a country Ina Garten (barefoot contessa) – She will joke with you and make you talk but it makes the wait for the food go by quick. Everything was delicious, classic dinner eats. I will have to come for lunch or dinner! My next item to try is the fried pork chops or chicken.

Mom & Pop restaurant in downtown Moncks Corner. We got blueberry waffle and blueberry french toast with scrambled eggs w/ cheese, home fries w/ onions and my husband got the country fried steak w/ brown gravy. Love the homemade food! Can tell the difference between that and prepackaged food from other places. Service was great; everybody was super nice and welcoming. We went on Valentine’s Day and they had a cute little kissing booth where we took a picture. I’d love to eat here again.

Howard’s restaurant is an incredible place, and the owner Wanda is an incredibly unique individual. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to see what the South and the town of moncks corner is really about.
There is no menu and as Wanda says “if you can think of it we can cook it”. While I was in there with my mom we ordered blueberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, toast, two glasses of sweet tea, and 4 cups of coffee which came out to $22 and the portions were huge we took back 3 to go boxes.
If you treat the folks in there right they’ll treat you right.

We went around 12pm today (12-02-25) my parents and my one year old.
This place is keeping that small town feel alive. If you’re looking to walk into somewhere fancy this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for good quick food, great service, family atmosphere and a place that holds decades of memories this is the place for you. They don’t have a menu to hand you but their servers got you covered. The cooks were waving at guest and helping serve food too. The burgers and meatloaf we had were delicious and the sweet tea too! Our whole table came out to $28 the prices were amazing. This place felt like family and I loved seeing the dedicated memorials of regulars that passed and sat at those tables, the photos on the walls and the simplicity of it all took me back to a time when things weren’t so fast paced and drinking coffee with my grandparents. Thanks for today Howard’s!

My husband and I went to a new restaurant today on Main Street in Moncks Corner. We pass by Howard’s all the time but never went in because we heard it was strange lol. Well we definitely had an interesting time! There are NO MENUS in this restaurant. You just have to write down what you want on a ticket sheet and they make what they have . We were greeted by a very nice lady who told us a joke and had a fun conversation with us. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Since there was no menu we had no idea how much money the food would be . But everything in the photo was $40! The place is small and about 100 years old and the vibe is super country. But if you want something quirky and good in the Lowcountry give it a try!

The food is good— but the atmosphere is what sets Howard’s apart from other diners! They are always bustling, but Ms. Wanda will always take time to greet you by name and make you feel like family. Just know that Howard’s is not your typical restaurant, so don’t be surprised by the lack of menus, the informal atmosphere, or even if you are asked to do the chicken dance!
