I wanted to give a great review on this restaurant, because it’s well deserved.
It was my first time eating here. I was greeted with amazing customer service, and that really set the mood for me and my friend.
I was impressed with how great the customer service was, and how well we were treated. We felt like family.
I tried the loaded baked potato, with butter, cheese, Chives, and Turkey. For my sides, I had Mac & Cheese, and the smoked baked beans. Everything was really good, and seasoned very well. I have attached a photo of my food.
If you’re in the Houston area, near Eldridge parkway and the energy corridor area. I highly recommend you try them out, and tell them that Nathaniel sent you.

You have not had barbecue until you come to this place. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly. The pitmaster Juan is very friendly and hands on the best bbq chef!!! Im not from here, but I am going back home to brag about this place. It’s a must try!!!

My family and I were searching for a place to eat. We were craving BBQ, but we normally go to Rudy’s, which is too far. This was our first time at Houston BBQ Company. My husband got the brisket, potato salad and I got the loaded potato with meat; the food was delicious. The servers were nice. This is our new favorite BBQ spot! RECOMMEND!!
By the way, the potatoes here are soft and loaded with meat, unlike Rudy’s, where the potatoes are hard and barely have any meat.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We shared a 3 meat platter of brisket and sausage, with potato salad and baked beans. The brisket was butchers cut, with a mix of lean and moist. Recommend the moist as it’s really tasty and the fat is minimal and in the grain of the meat, not on the edge, needing to be cut off.

Yesterday we had a hankering for bbq. I found this family owned gem of a place through Google Maps. We decided to give it a try and I’m sure glad we did. I had turkey and my wife had brisket. My turkey was delicious. Her brisket looked moist and yummy. The mashed potatoes I got were some of the best I’ve had. The staff is awesome as well. Very attentive!! We even got a tour of the back where they prepare the brisket and where the smoker resides!! The banana pudding is pretty darn good! I urge you to pay them a visit and tell them Walter & Denise sent you!! We’ll definitely be back soon!!

My husband found this gem on Google and we decided to try it. I’m so glad we did. I love brisket and I told Daniel I’d hold his feet to the fire on its quality. I wanted it moist, not too fatty and to have a great flavor. Boy, did he deliver! The tomato based sauce is a great accompaniment to the meat, and I enjoyed the baked beans, which were “doctored up” just right! They have Coke Zero as a fountain drink selection, which is my personal favorite. We met Joseph Flores, who is co owner. He showed us the pit area, which was impressive. We tried their banana pudding, which has a great flavor and chunks of banana in it. Haven’t gotten to the home made brownie or pecan pie yet, but I’m sure the quality and taste are excellent as well. I’ve had my share of bbq as a cookoff judge and fan of the Rodeo bbq cookoff, and Joseph’s is one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband and I love family owned businesses and this one deserves all the support and exposure it can get. Give them a try- you won’t be disappointed.

Houston BBQ absolutely nails it—both in flavor and in hospitality. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a rich bark, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sides tasted homemade and fresh. What really stood out, though, was the customer service: the staff greeted me warmly, patiently answered questions about the menu, and checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. It’s easily some of the best barbecue I’ve had anywhere, and the top-tier service makes the whole experience unforgettable.

I visited Houston Barbeque Company yesterday with my partner and we had an amazing experience. We were craving some chopped and sliced brisket sandwiches that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and we got exactly that. The brisket sandwiches were the perfect amount of tender and juicy, and barely had any fat on our slices (which we love). We also got fries and fried okra as our sides, and the fried okra was incredible. It was so crispy, flavorful, and fried to perfection.
We also tried their two different BBQ sauces, one regular and the other a creamy BBQ sauce with a little bit of heat, and both were so good. My partner got a root beer and I got a classic sweet tea. I was a bit nervous about ordering the sweet tea because not all sweet teas are made the same in the state of Texas, but my goodness, the sweet tea was sweetened to perfection.
We also snagged a fruity pebble rice krispy and a macadamia white chocolate cookie at the register, and they were both so delicious.
I would like to highlight the incredibly kind, patient, and nice staff members that checked us out. They made our experience even better.
Overall, Houston Barbeque Company satisfied our cravings and we are so thankful for that. We will definitely be going back and will recommend this to any and every friend in the area looking for a quick BBQ fix! I would rate this restaurant 10/10.
