We were in the mood for something sweet, so we stopped by Housewife Bake Shop to treat ourselves.
This charming Argentine bakery offers a delightful variety of sweets and cakes, each made with authentic flavor. We sampled several treats, and every single one was delicious and beautifully made.
The owner was incredibly welcoming and took the time to chat with us, making us feel special.

The positive: huge variety of cookies, cakes and pastries, they looked delicious. I went in for breakfast the other day, not as great as I expected with some of the empanadas, a tad expensive in my opinion. Maybe you should go by if in the area (N.Armenia) and give it a try they do have a nice area to sit and sip your coffee which is always a plus. Although the lady behind the counter needed a little coffee herself to wake up and be a little more peppier should I say.

Haven’t been here for years. So I had to try it again. The display cases were well stocked and looked absolutely beautiful. But sadly, something has changed. We didn’t enjoy or even finish our food. We left there and went to a different restaurant for a proper Cuban Sandwich. This one would probably have been good if the girl that prepared it had been properly trained on how to press it.

I’ve been wanting to try this bakery for a while as it’s conveniently located on a high traffic road in Tampa. They have a huge selection of bakery items. Although I did not get to try all of them the few that I did try were delicious. The croissants were buttery, sweet and savory while still keeping it moistness. The coffee smelled delicious and their cakes looked amazing. The staff was very friendly as well and the prices are very affordable!!! Will definitely be back to try more.

Finally decided to stop by that little blue building on Armenia & Sligh Ave. with my girlfriend, and I’m so glad we did! Housewife Bakery & Cafe is such a cozy spot with amazing pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. We had never tried Argentinian pastries before, but the owner was so patient and thoughtful—she took the time to explain the ingredients and even suggested what meals to eat them with. We grabbed half a dozen, and after eating them, we already know we’ll be back very, very soon. If you’re on this side of town, please stop by. You won’t regret it! ☕

Ordered a birthday cake and the quality of ingredients in cake was very good. I was impressed by the help and service provided by the team. The lady that I think maybe the owner,was very accommodating to our needs, something you don’t experience anymore around town.. The locale is clean and has a large variety of sweets and light food. Wonderful selection of American and Spanish pastries, cakes, and cookies. Beautiful occasional cakes for order. Also has some wrapped sandwiches like Cubans, Tuna and Egg as well as finger foods like croquettes, stuffed potatoes, and different kinds of empanadas. Clean, modern woods in indoor eating area. Prices are worth it with the quality, taste and size of the portions.

I’ve been looking for a decent old school bakery and decided to check out Housewife. I was highly impressed to say the least.
The have remodeled the building and the menu is vast. Pastries, cakes, cookies, sandwiches, coffee, and more. Nice and cozy dining room. Didn’t have to wait for service.
And the baked goods were excellent! I had a creme Berliner and German chocolate cake. I’m only sad that they’re so far away from home. Oh well, I’ll find an excuse to make the trip again soon.

A $15 valuable lesson…. if you’re looking for a good cuban sandwich, do not go here! I ordered a reg cuban (pre-made) and it’s the worst I’ve ever had. Took a bite of the bread pudding and it was mushy and watery. Go to La Segunda Bakery, pricey but you won’t be disappointed.
