I ordered the king salmon sushi, but it didn’t taste fresh. Even after dipping it in soy sauce, it still tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time. The only thing worth praising was the service — the staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was neither authentic nor tasty.

I always ordered pick up but this was the first time I ate here. Chefs are literally from Tokyo Japan. I had a great conversation about Japan with them. But the sushi oof just on point. Pricey for all the rite reasons.

We love this place. Delicious food! Friendly staff. Ordered from here almost every week during the pandemic. Been going for years and we still love it. Long overdue for a great review.

Phenomenal food, sushi was fresh and delicious. The ramen was flavorful, not the best but not bad. Pork belly fried rice was very good. Sushi was favorite part though, would come back for that

Burnt scallion in the Negimayaki, super watery sautéed calamari, miso soup that basically taste like boiled water with a hint of miso, and totally unseasoned katsu that’s flavorless without katsu sauce. The worst and unauthentic Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to and will never visit again. Staff was nice at least 🙂

One of the best sushi spots in CT. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Great appetizers, entrees, and cocktails. Aki makes a great ramen for those cold days. His menu always has something new to try. I highly recommend Kaiseki Menu, but make sure you call to make a reservation, it’s a masterpiece that melts in your mouth.

Having lived in Japan for the past 7 years, finding good and authentic Japanese food here has been a mission. Most places I take a look at the menu and that’s enough for me, it doesn’t resemble Japanese food at all. Until I drove past this place. The name was a give away as it didn’t have a generic tacky Japanese name, and further research taught me that this place was Japanese owned.
First thing I noticed upon entering was that there were Japanese people eating here, a good sign for me. The waiter Shun-San is a Tokyo native and it was a good chance to speak some Japanese. The menu was decent and the sushi not too bad. The tempura was fantastic. I’d say it’s adapted somewhat for the local palette but if I want Japanese food, this is where I will go to get my fix, and it’s the only place you should go too if you want close to authentic Japanese food.
I didn’t try the ramen dishes which I will next time, and they have sake too.

Always a delight to eat here, with the varied choices, between traditional Japanese foods, sushi, fried bits and often some specials that you might not expect. One of the big winners for me was the poké bowl. Real Hawaiian style, not that bloated stuff you’re finding at chains that has kale and pita in it!
