Soulful Flavor & Stellar Service
I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls, collard greens, honey cornbread, and a Pineapple Mango drink–and every bite was a hit. The egg rolls were generously stuffed, perfectly crispy, and paired with a dipping sauce that was downright addictive. Meaty, cheesy, and satisfying.
The collard greens were a standout. The pot liquor was rich and savory without being overwhelmed by vinegar, which is a rare and welcome surprise. As for the honey cornbread–finally, cornbread that tastes like cornbread! Not a slice of yellow cake in disguise, but a true, honey-kissed classic.
The Pineapple Mango drink was light, refreshing, and just sweet enough. No syrupy aftertaste, just clean tropical flavor.
Kay was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the space was spotless. Smooth R&B played in the background, setting the perfect laid-back vibe while I waited for my food.
I’ll absolutely be a repeat customer. The prices were on point and better than any fast-food restaurant.

Ordered food here the night before Christmas. Got a fair bit of food delivered. They specialize in soul food/Southern-style cooking. I tried the BBQ Beef Ribs bundle (they also have turkey ribs) – which came with a drink (I got a Diet Mountain Dew) as well as 2 sides (I chose the Mac n cheese and cornbread, although it already came with 1 piece of cornbread) and 4 Beef ribs, a salmon croquette, steak and cheese egg roll with some sauce, and a peach cobbler.
The main entree (ribs) were quite disappointing. There was very little meat on them. The ribs were quite chewy and mostly fat, which is not something I enjoy. They were also quite thin and coated in a ton of very sweet BBQ sauce. So, not a win. The corn bread, though, was actually quite good. It had a sugary moist topping that was very pleasant. It was a bit dry on the inside and did crumble, but the overall flavor was decent. I do appreciate they give you one piece for free.
The Mac n cheese was not good, unfortunately. There was very little cheese. Any of the cheese that was present came in clumps, which made for a strange texture and flavor. It was also very buttery and oily, which I’m not a huge fan of either. I would really recommend staying away from this dish unless you like oily macaroni without much cheese. Portion is large.
The egg roll was quite tasty. When ordering online, I couldn’t find a way to add a single roll to my order, so I had to write it in the description of another item. Thankfully, the person making the food saw this note! The roll is larger than your average Chinese takeout egg roll, and it’s packed with delicious items. They have seafood, chicken, and other varieties, but I chose the steak and cheese. Its crispy and the sauce in there (maybe the steak juices?) was delicious. Would have liked a bit more cheese, but overall great.
However, the sauce that was served with it was not that great. You do not get the option to choose your sauce. The one it was served with was very acidic and too spicy for my liking. Maybe someone who enjoys spice would have a different opinion.
For dessert, the peach cobbler was flavorful. It was made with real peaches and was not overly sweet. I have not tried many peach cobblers, but I assumed they were supposed to have a crust? This did not have a crust, and it was a bit soupy. The ‘dough’ parts were soggy.
My favorite part of the meal was the salmon croquette. I would honestly recommend just getting the bundle meal with these croquettes, because I was that impressed. Definitely homemade and delicious. The portion was bigger than I expected for $4. A bit spicy, crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside. Nice sauce.
All in all, there were some parts of the meal that were a let down. Others, like the salmon croquette or the egg rolls, were great. It’s a hit or miss type place. I’m still looking for a Southern place in Pittsburgh that blows me away.

Worst meal I ever had. The wings were the only edible thing. Mac and cheese dry and no cheese, burnt muffin, soupy yams loaded with sugar, salty greens, peach cobbler mush! So disappointed! I believe we got the end of what was left for the day. It was terrible. Threw it all away and ate the wings.

I really wanted to find a good soul food place out here but sadly this isn’t it. Fish whitting satly. Greens oily and so was the cabbage I liked the yams that’s why I’m giving 3 stars and the Mac and cheese was good. I’m glad I had a 50% of promo with uber.

Food was very good. I ordered macaroni greens and wings. Everything was seasoned wel and cooked perfectly. Only thing I didn’t like is the chicken wing taste like they were fried in fish grease. I personally don’t like fish so I didn’t like that but aside from the fish taste the chicken was still crispy and seasoned well.
But the owner!!! She is so kind!! Her customer service is impeccable. I will definitely be going back!

Chicken Soul-bachi was awful. The vegetables looked and tasted like they were leftover from another day and some were burnt. The chicken wings were good. Mac and Cheese . I won’t get again. First time there. Haven’t decided if I’ll write them off or give them another chance.
