I think it’s a pretty new place. This spot is a little tough to find and up a big hill if you’re coming from downtown. Just a few tables there. I got a ton of food from this place: Samsa, small side of suzma, lemon tea, Uzbek bread, and plov.

The food is pretty solid. The bread is huge but doesn’t have a ton of flavor to it; I do think they make it in house. Honestly a good deal. The suzma I got on the side is a lot like sour cream, which I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be the case or not.

The lamb samsa was filled with far too many onions (see picture). It really overpowered the appetizer. The bottom was a little too charred as well and the lamb was quite fatty. I would personally skip the Samsa.

The lemon tea was really good and they gave a large portion. When you dine in, it’s a whole teapot essentially, but I was really hoping to try their ayran (they were out, unfortunately). The actual tea itself is a regular Lipton or something of the sort; store bought.

Finally, the star of the meal, the plov. I will say, this was actually really quite good, albeit quite oily. The meat is surprisingly pretty tender and not super fatty (definitely some pieces were, but on the whole, they were good). The rice, chickpeas, and carrots are all well cooked and went nicely. No onions in this plov, which I’m super happy about! I’d definitely recommend it if you come here.

EDIT: this place doesn’t offer delivery, whoever bot-swarmed this small business with 1 star reviews should be ashamed!!

I really treasure a hole in the wall joint with incredible food. If that’s your thing too, this restaurant is the zenith.

As an FYI, major language barrier, but it wasn’t an impediment to ordering and everyone was very friendly. The owner ended up assisting via speakerphone.

The kitchen is almost the entire footprint of the restaurant and it’s immaculate. There are two small tables, a counter, and that’s it. That said, who needs ambiance with food like this.

There is that feeling you get after eating an excellent home cooked meal with fresh ingredients that’s totally different than being full. You’re truly *sated* and your body is kind of humming and you just want to melt into your couch. That’s what you are going to get here. It feels like this is a grandma’s kitchen/taste of home type spot for the recent wave of Uzbek immigrants working in ride-share.

The somsa, manti, and qovurma lagman were truly outstanding. We are looking forward to ordering again as soon as we can. You owe yourself giving this place a try.

Excellent.
Plov was delicious and filling. Lagman soup, also filling with rich fat and oils.

It feels like home cooked food, not restaurant food. Warm and hearty.

The Khonim (tomato, potato, and onion dumpling) is Vegetarian-Friendly, I’m not sure what else is, but I thought it would be good to note. This is a popular food in Uzbekistan so I was excited to try it. It did not disappoint.

The Khonim is priced per, so $3.50 per dumpling. 3 was plenty.

We ate in and although there is a language barrier, the service was with love. Would absolutely come back.

Little hidden gem with delicious Uzbek comfort food and friendly people. We drove all the way from another town, and this place didn’t disappoint at all.

We had Osh (plov), chicken shish, lamb shish and ground beef (qiyma/lyula) kabob, everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Kabobs are freshly made and juicy, osh/plov was satisfying.

Normally, I take pictures for review, but we were hungry, just devoured the food, it was that good.

Napoleon dessert was also good, I ordered for a take out.

We will be back to taste tandir (tandoori) somsa, they were out today.
Outstanding customer service.

Wonderful taste of the dishes. Especially the Qovurma Lagmam, the lamb kebab and the Napaleon dessert. Excellent food. But proportionwise food is not sufficient so which make the dishes costly.
