Loved this place; it gives the impression and feel of an upscaled fine restaurant while remaining quite affordable. We got the paneer tikka appetizer, the chicken biriyani, the lamb curry, the garlic naan, and a mango cocktail. They nailed everyone of those dishes. The standout was the mango cocktail, which my girlfriend tells me she’s been thinking about since we went last week. Indeed, she’s been trying to recreate it at home. This is a must try if you are a fan of indian food.

Small and busy restaurant in Yale territory. I was able to snag 2 seats at the bar. Food was delicious and the service by the bartender ( think Henry was his name?) Was courteous and attentive. I highly recommend the marsala shrimp, crispy okra and lamb sliders! And the best nanny ive ever had!

First time at House of Naan. Very good Indian food, everything was flavorful with good portions. Great drink specials for happy hour but only at bar. Service was great as well.

The atmosphere, service, and food were absolutely incredible! We sat at the bar and our bartender Henry was absolutely amazing! He making your drinks out of this world! He was kind, attentive, and friendly. This true authentic Indian food tasted so good and I can’t wait to be back and have more! Thank you so much!

Best Indian food in New Haven! Food was authentic, fresh and plentiful! Lunch special came with an appetizer, rice, naan and curry for only $16. I highly recommend.

recently visited this Indian restaurant and had an enjoyable experience overall. Rating would be a 4 out of 5.

Vegetarian Curry (4.5/5): This dish was the highlight of the meal. The taste was delightful, with well-balanced flavors that left a lasting impression.

Appetizer (4/5): A solid choice, offering good taste and quality, though it didn’t quite reach the same level as the curry.

Menu Options: One area for improvement is the limited selection. A wider variety of dishes could appeal to more diners and enhance the overall experience.

Special thanks to server – Vishwas.

Despite the limited menu, the quality of the food made it a pleasant dining outing. I’d happily recommend it to those seeking tasty vegetarian options and a satisfying meal.

Great lunch deal- we popped in knowing nothing about this place and had an amazing experience. Service was quick and friendly and food including a choice of street food style appetizer, choice of protein and sauce, rice and naan was delicious. We added a starter of fried okra strips with seasoning and toppings which was amazing.

Picked up birthday dinner after being unimpressed with NH pizza, and it was incredible. Bartender was very friendly, offered me water and invited me to sit. Ended up having a drink and left with chicken tikka, chicken chili bites and Naan. Best Indian food I’ve had, next to Ut Sav in Vernon CT. Right amount of spice, good portions, came out quick, tasted fresh. Even the Naan was amazing. Only complaint is that it was $20 for a shot of Hennessey, but I would return here in a heartbeat for that food and service.

I recently visited House of Naan in New Haven, and while it was quite busy—likely a sign of its popularity—I personally didn’t have the best experience.

The food didn’t stand out to me; it wasn’t as great as I had hoped. On top of that, the service didn’t feel very welcoming, which made the overall experience less enjoyable.

Considering the many dining options in the area, I don’t think I’d go back. It may be a popular spot, but it just didn’t meet my expectations.
