Nice little local shop. Stopped in, great customer service. We bought a few varieties of jerky. The original and teriyaki were pretty good, the maple bacon wasn’t great. Overall, worth a visit and to grab some snacks. Prices were pretty average for jerky.

I am personally Calling Animal Control this morning. An employee here with a “service dog” lunged at my dog this morning simply opening the door. The Dog is a German Shephard and the owner of the dog was an old dude with a white beard. Service dogs DO NOT LUNGE at other dogs. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and lodging a formal complaint with Manitou Springs. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. If that dog lunged at my dog, he could lunge at children too.

The selection of Jerky was amazing & unique. Mako Shark, Camel, Alligator, Rabbit, Turtle, Turkey, Python, Salmon & Beef of course just to name a few.
Sticks, strips and slabs were offered depending on type. If your a jerky fanatic this is the place to visit.

This place has a great atmosphere. It’s really well laid out. The beef jerky is delicious. The people behind the counter were super friendly and they had the cutest little puppy. Don’t believe the negative reviews. It must be a disgruntled employee or competitor.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. The gentleman that was in the shop with his dog was super nice. I asked to pet his dog and he happily let me do so and told us the dog’s name.
I bought dog jerky and the habanero tri-tip jerky. I can only speak for the tri-tip as I didn’t consume the dog jerky lol but it was delicious. So moist and flavorful!
I’m only in town for a week and am planning to go back again before I leave for more!

After reading negative reviews – i felt compelled to leave a review . My wife and i were in town for a relatives funeral , and needed a distraction, so we went to Manitou Springs for a couple hours of wandering and shopping. We love jerky so it was an easy choice to visit the store. We were greeted by german shepard laying on the floor in the middle of the shop – PERFECT ! we love dogs ! Especially service animals. We were then greeted by a gentleman that was a wealth of knowledge about Manitou Springs , the wild west , he played his guitar , he shared stories from his employment history , touched on the service animal and why he had it , he then did a Buffalo Bill reenactment with a 45 revolver. I asked about Schmiskys Leather shop in M.S. that i visited as a child ,35-40 yrs ago and without hesitation shared his knowledge about the old leather shop. Great hop down memory lane !!!

I don’t eat jerky, but this place is wild and good for getting stocking stuffers, if you have adventurous friends.
