First time at a House of Japan. It was Expensive but good quality and portion. The show was nice and the chef engaged with the patrons. I love when bean sprouts are in season they are my favorite hibachi vegetable. The protein is cooked like requested and is seasoned well. The yum yum has almost no flavor so I’ll pass on that next time. But If you want a happy birthday or anything for the bday patron, it’s all extra $$ even if you just want a song. The children were entertained for being so young but overall it was a good experience. Oh the bathrooms are cleanly and nice too.

We have been here a lot and generally love it! The chef was awesome, funny and very talented. The problem came on the way home. There were four of us and before we got back to London 3 of us were sick. The only thing we ate that our 4th person didn’t eat was the egg yolk sauce. I don’t know if it goes bad or how it’s made but we were all three sick. It just sucks to spend $119 dollars on a meal and throw it up when u get home. Feels like a real waste. Service was good. Atmosphere was ok. It was very busy and loud but in a fun way. Im not sure how quickly we will try again. Maybe without the egg yolk sauce which sucks because that’s generally my favorite part!

We have been going to this location for years. Food has always been great. This year, however, not so much. The socki had a weird flavor, the soup seem to be very salty, and the scallops were smaller and finally, the prices have skyrocketed! Not sure what has changed over the past year. Maybe new ownership?

Me and my family come to this location a lot. We didn’t have to wait to be seated and the waitress was very nice and the chef was amazing. The food was good and the kids loved it. I was taken aback when the girl brought us our bill with a 20 percent gratuity on it. Like what. I had pulled out cash just like I did for the cook. I usually tip 40 cause I know we are a big family but 75 dollar tip. We didn’t even see she her again until towards the end of meal. I get most place charge that now if its a big group but 20 percent. I am not sure if we will be returning. Even though I do enjoy the food but we have a place similar in our town that doesn’t cost nearly as much as this place nor charge 20 percent gratuity…

Our party of 8 tried this place out as we love hibachi but hadn’t tried this location. We were promptly seated and served. Service was fast. Our waitress started off strong and quick. Our chef was fast and entertaining. However the food (while abundant) just didn’t hit the spot. It was overly salty (and I love salt!), and just generally not amazing. Service at the end of the night was slow and we waited for drink refills and the check for quite some time. For an almost $400 check – I just didn’t think I’d come back. The prices just do not match the food or service.

Went for lunch and it’s was blah!!!!!!
After getting my order the service from the server was sub par at best. The best part was towards the end my partner is clearly still eating damn near a full plate of food and here come the server boxing up other people’s food and clearly rushing us out. Maybe the dinner service is different and no we weren’t ther near the end of lunch service amd the resturant wasn’t packed so there was no need at all to rush us out

I went to this place for lunch yesterday, and I didn’t like the service from one of the waitresses, who was a bit older and seemed very unwilling to serve customers who ordered one dish to share between two people. Perhaps she thought we didn’t have much money. And during payment, she was peeking from behind, watching to see if we would leave a tip or not, and before we could even select the tip amount, she pressed the tip button herself, but we directed it to the custom tip option. I’m also a server at a hibachi restaurant, so I know how to serve customers properly. Please retrain your servers. Thankyou!

We treated our mother to a Mother’s Day meal, and it was absolutely delicious. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, as did we all. While their lunchtime pricing had changed to match their dinner pricing, the portions were incredibly generous. I even enjoyed the leftovers the following day.

We came to Columbus for a family weekend trip. Dinner for 11 of us was at House of Japan. Everyone talked about how the food was delicious and plentiful. The experience of having the that food cooked in front of you is always a great time. We all highly recommend this Japanese Hibachi and Steak House.
