I happened to be on vacation while here in Tennessee and the delicious Aroma of the genuine Indian cuisine dragged me in.

Rankeet bhai , Shaun , JP and last but not least Moheet made me feel like I was being hosted in their own home.

Grate service, fresh baked naan and off course the all you can eat sumptuous lunch buffet
Chai and sweets were the icing on the cake

Definitely coming back during my short stay in TN.

Uttam! Perfect in hindi

My second time here, and this place still does not disappoint! I came for the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, and I love that I get to try so many different dishes I never would’ve thought to try on my own. Everything is always well-stocked, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The music and the smells throughout the restaurant are absolutely perfect, and the service is just as wonderful… everyone is so polite and friendly. And the hot chai? Incredible!

Highly recommend giving this spot a try!

If you’re looking for incredible Indian food in Middle Tennessee, House of India is absolutely amazing. The food is packed with flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked every time. The buffet is seriously one of the best parts — so many great options, all hot and constantly refilled, and everything tastes authentic and high quality. The tikka masala is rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, and the tea is so comforting and flavorful. The mango lassi was smooth, sweet, and the perfect refreshing drink to go with the meal. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Overall, everything from the food to the service to the vibe was outstanding — I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a great dinner at House of India. We ordered the Garlic Naan, Chicken Tika Marsala and vegetable Biriyani. Everything was so flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. The best Indian food we’ve experienced in Tennessee. We highly recommend it.

House of India in Franklin truly stands out—not just because it’s one of the few Indian restaurants in the area open late, but because of their genuine hospitality. I had a rough night after some hot sauce messed up my stomach and, on a last-minute call, I asked if they could make curd rice (which isn’t even on their menu). To my surprise, they told me to come by, and when I got there, they had prepared it fresh just for me. This is a Punjabi-style restaurant, yet they went out of their way to accommodate me.

The staff didn’t just stop there, they listened to my situation, offered me a mango lassi, and treated me with so much care that it honestly felt like family. That level of compassion is rare to find in restaurants these days.

Beyond that, the food on their menu is top-notch, full of flavor, and served in a warm, welcoming ambiance. While I was there, I even heard customers calling in just to praise their food after taking to-go orders, that says everything about the quality and service.

House of India didn’t just serve me dinner; they turned my night around with their kindness and hospitality. A hidden gem in Franklin, highly recommend for both food and experience!

I have traveled across the country and have not encountered such delectable Indian cuisine. This is the best Indian food that America has to offer. The price is excellent for the quality as well as service. The workers are kind, friendly, and feel like family, especially Shaun who served us. Everything was excellent tasting and I will be coming again. I felt welcomed and appreciated as a guest, and got to enjoy the best food I’ve had all month.

Always amazing service and incredible food. I’ve gone through the entire menu at this point in all the years I’ve come here. The people who work here are like my family now! Always get the hot tea. You won’t regret it 🙂

We were there last Summer while on vacation. My wife, my grandson and I had the lunch buffet. The food was uniformly good and in a couple cases great. There was a nice variety of dishes. The servers were polite and attentive. This was my grandson’s first experience with Indian food and he loved it, especially the gulab jamun

I’ve eaten Indian food all over North America including NYC and Toronto which I consider the benchmark places. House of India stacks up quite nicely!

YALL THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC. From the chutneys to the mains, lassi and masala tea. Every dish, sauce, and bread I tasted I melted into that “yummmm” feeling.
Heads up they make no bones about the spice, if you say a spice level, mean it with your chest.
The serving floor works quickly and kindly, no sooner did you finish your water than they come to top you off. I am an out of towner, here for work—if you’re native here. Oof. I am jealous, so eat a dish for me. (Ps. The Rogan Josh Slaps)
