Most overlooked restaurant in Missoula? No one I talk to seems to know this place exists. To be fair, I had been driving past it for months and it went completely undetected. A chance keyword search for Thai food on Google Maps led me here.
Pad Thai was the best I’ve had in Missoula. The bugle sauce was incredible for someone who loves spicy food. I have been telling everyone about this place.
Prices are a bit high though, so it’s hard to justify ordering from here regularly. If they were open for lunch and maybe had some good lunch specials, I would be ordering almost daily.

You’ve gotta walk through 2 doors to get to the most delicious dinner- and it’s absolutely worth it! Finally the authentic depth of flavor that I usually have to go to Seattle to find. Super friendly and kind family running this sweet mom & pop shop. Thank you for offering your cuisine to Missoula! Highly recommend the Phõ & Pad Thai!

I got House of Elk for the first time last night. It was absolutely fantastic. We will be getting it regularly. Amazing flavors, so much effort put into the preparation. You’ve got to try it. We tried 5 different menu items. I would order them all again.
I worked with the owner in a previous job, and he’s an EXTREMELY hardworking person. He’s a good human. I’m of the opinion that these are exactly the types of places we need in Missoula…amazing food brought to us by our fellow community members. I hope you try House of Elk because I am really confident that you will be as blown away as I was!

We did a pickup with the House of Elk. Order was ready right on time and still super hot. The egg rolls with the crack sauce were spicy and delicious. The beef for the pho was also very tender. I have no doubt if you love spice this place could give you something outrageously hot that still tastes amazing. Were only in town visiting but I would go out of my way to get food from here again and probably will before we leave.
I will say they are obviously just getting started and the route to the kitchen has a 90s underground rave vibe, but my husband and I dug it.

Let’s see. I’ve had the lemongrass chicken, minced pork, pad Thai, pho, and egg rolls so far. It’s all absolutely amazing. If you want to have some real top quality Vietnamese food this is it. 11/10, best pho in Missoula for sure.

This is some of the best food ive ever had. You can tell its made with love and attention to detail. The flavors, textures, freshness were all on point and made sounds come out of me that may have given our neighbors the wrong idea. I am so so glad this place exists in Missoula. Every time I order from this place, I’m blown away. The flavors are rich, layered, and perfectly balanced. The pho is hands down the best I’ve ever had. They put a whole beef with bone in it. Absolutely delicious. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently amazing and can’t wait to try everything in the menu.
It’s takeout only, but that adds to the charm. I actually love peeking into the kitchen when I pick up my order. You can tell/taste they care about what they’re making.

This is a review for the owners and not for customers. Didn’t end up ordering because the website needs some work, there’s a timeout feature that kept resetting our progress and we just got frustrated. They did mention that they’re expanding to actually have dine in so we’re excited for that.
