Amazing find outside of the strip. This is a must go to spot if you want to try Jamaican food. Tried their combo meals of Oxtail and Jerk chicken and then Salmon and Coconut Shrimp. Both were good but I gotta give the best one to the Oxtail as it was very tender and their original sauces were really good.
We also ordered desserts: Bread pudding, carrot cake and cheesecake. We love everything especially the cheesecake.
Kudos to Chef O and Ashley who was an amazing waiter for us.

First visit of many to come.
Great service with smiles.
Food was delicious and well worth it.
Everything was professionally prepared and tasted fantastic. Menu has lots of choices of Caribbean flavors. Good to the last fork full. 🙂
This is worth a visit to try some tasty island foods.

My only issue was I eat lunch in my car and I was given NO utensils or napkins (I appreciated the double bagging do to the gravy ) the young lady that served me was nice but she was on the phone and seemed a bit preoccupied and agitated. BUT the food was good curry chicken was very tender and the Mac was different but tasty . I’ll be back to try the jerk chicken.

Open from 10:00am daily House of Dutch Pot lies tucked away in an area of failed concepts on Durango, the “first Jamaican Caribbean Authentic Restaurant” featured on Diner’s, Dine-Ins and Dives making a go of it with friendly service and hearty Caribbean plates.
Helmed by St. Thomas native Chef Oniel Smith, the former occupants remembered only by circular lighting and blinged-out banquettes, House of Dutch Pot submerges guests in a sea of blue while music plays at medium volume over TVs showing sports.
Known as “Chef O,” his passion for Jamaican cooking evident across a menu that veers from tradition plates like Jerk Chicken to Mac & Cheese Oxtail Eggrolls, prices may look steep until one realizes most plates come with two sides beyond shareable portions.
Spread across starters including Coconut Shrimp and Tacos, six Cod Fritters for $15 more like Hushpuppies than Baccala, Food arrives quick whether one selects tender bone-in Goat Curry or one of several combos such as the $40 Oxtail and Jerk Chicken with their own complex Sauces.
Selling Seasoning on-site, the Jerk appropriately punchy with lingering heat, Seasoned Fries prove fairly basic in comparison to aromatic Rice, stretch handmade Roti or “Festival Bread” best compared to a Churro or Fritter more lightly sweetened with hints of Coconut.
Open from 10am daily, the space’s small footprint about 1/3 full for lunch on Sunday, Desserts should not be skipped as both Rum Bread Pudding and Carrot Cake arrive piping hot beneath stewed Fruit steeped in booze.

This is the nasties food I ever had. I ordered brown stew chicken, jerk wings , jerk pork and fry chicken and all my order was burned. I called to give a feed back and was told by the manager that I need to contact uber with whom I’ve ordered through not her.

This place is beyond words! The food was infused with so much flavor that I’ve never experienced! I ordered the Ox tail and curry goat, with ox tail fried rice, which was to die for!!!

Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. We were greeted when we walked in and seated right away. We did put a reservation in before coming but it wasn’t needed as the place was empty of dine in guests but had a steady take out service. We wanted to order the Red Stripe chicken wings but were told they were not available. So we got regular chicken wings and a jerk sauce. They were well cooked but lacked flavor. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and Jerk Shrimp with festival and a side salad. The main was super tender and very flavorful. The side salad, well, was horrible. The menu said it was to have a mango vinaigrette but it was served with ranch. My first time having festival and it was great. My friend had jerk chicken and jerk oxtail, also well cooked and flavored. He had garlic mashed potatoes. Just average missing the garlic flavor. He also had Mac and cheese which was really good. Over all a few misses but the meal was good. The biggest drawback was the competing music. Caribbean music in the dining area and Whitney Houston blaring in the kitchen area. Also, these are fine dining prices and a casual restaurant. 128.00 for 2 people.

Do Better!!!! How are you a restaurant and don’t have fountain drinks. Like coke and sprite. Or Pepsi. Had to order a $9 lemonade. The got a to go cup and the lids don’t fit the cup. Had to take my lemonade with no lid. The food was good. Got the oxtail. But the portion was small for $30. This place has the potential to be great but need to do the small things better. Start with getting fountain drinks. Do Better.

Katie was very kind and attentive! I told her it was my husband’s bday and at the end of our lunch, she brought out a pineapple carrot cake and it was DELICIOUS! Oxtail and Jerk pasta were super flavorful and my Father said the Oxtail tacos are his go to meal now! Honestly, everything had so much flavor and spice, it was a great experience. Chef’s kiss! Thank you all at House of Dutch Pot! We will be back!

The service was great, the food was delicious, and the decor was beautiful. The one small detail that would bring everything together would be to hear some Caribbean style music. 🙂
