The food was extremely tasty and delicious. It was an busy night due to Valentine’s Day but the service did not falter. Our server was diligent and consistently moving. We will love to go back again when we’re in Pensacola. Despite the high volume of business, all the staff was pleasant and focused on the patrons. There was an extraordinary amount of carry out orders, so that says a lot about how many customers enjoy their food. Highly recommend trying this gem!

My family has a tradition of going here everytime we are in Pensacola and it has never disappointed! THE best Chinese food in Florida, and the familiar faces in the restaurant every time we come back bring us all joy. It’s always calm and clean inside as well. The best atmosphere and the best food. I couldn’t recommend more. My personal favorite is the beef with broccoli – my family members also love the cashew chicken! Thank you for being the best reliable and enjoyable restaurant!!!

Where is the flavor? The cashew chicken had no flavor, the sweet-and-sour chicken had a hint of flavor as if the sweet-and-sour sauce was watered down, and the chicken lo mein was very greasy. Even the fortune cookies were stale ‍♂️ I guess if you’re high this food must be great because everyone else must have low standards or something.

I was really looking forward to the shrimp lo mein and 2 eggrolls. The Lo mein is more like a soup, the shrimp are tiny and there are maybe 6 of them in a sea of noodles. I thought they couldn’t mess up the egg rolls, but the wraps just don’t taste right and the veggies and stuff inside is discolored. I think its something with the batter that they made from scratch that is just powdery and dry and tastes like chalk. For $13.50 + $5 tip, I’m not satisfied at all. The lady at the counter was nice and welcoming, but the place was pretty dead at lunch time. I don’t see myself going back there anytime soon.

Read all of the reviews about the cashew chicken so I decided to give it a try for lunch. On my drive back to my office all I could smell was fried chicken and I couldn’t figure out why until I opened the container. The dish is fried chicken pieces in a light sauce with a few cashews. Veggies are separate, over cooked for my taste and sparse. Rice was ok. Price with tax $7.80. Not my thing! I won’t be going back.

Fried rice is terrible. Like the chicken was barely cooked sadly:( but the sesame chicken is quite tasty and delicious. But man I bought two things of the friend rice and only the rice part is ok. I don’t know if I were to wonder in again I wouldn’t get the chicken fried rice.

My parents introduced me and my brothers to House Of Chong when we were just children. We have been coming here for many many years. The food is fantastic! I brought my daughter with me to continue our family tradition eating this amazing food and she also loves it! Thank you for all your hard work making the most amazing food for all these years!

I came for dinner with a large group, 10+ people. They put some tables together to make a long table to sit us all. The menu was Americanized and I tried to pick something not Americanized. So I had the shrimp with lobster sauce. By lobster sauce, they mean corn starch sauce with white pepper. As seen in the picture, there are about 4 shrimps with some cut up imitation crab meat and veggies. The shrimp wasn’t seasoned and overcooked. The dish was about as soupy as a stew. For $8.95, I guess I shouldn’t have high hope.

Fun fact: I was waiting to pay my check at the counter. Some dude waiting for pick up and asked me to go check his order. I told him that I don’t work there and I was a customer. His friend tried to save the day and made a light heart comment about me knowing the best place to eat. I told him that I just moved here. A young couple in their early 20’s about 10 feet away giggled from their stereotyping comments.

Pensacola, I am so glad that I am getting out of this place soon.
