Best spot for a show! Easy to get thru to the venue downstairs. This night was a packed event, and the vibes were right. Drink prices are a little high, but they are a business. Great light system but the sound cut out at the beginning. Overall great venue!

I saw Matt Maltese a few weeks ago here. I did not get around to trying and food or drinks but this is a super concert venue! I give 4 stars because there wasn’t enough AC. It was very hot and I almost passed out. Several others around me also had to take breaks from time to time. There is a parking garage right across the street but it’s incredibly difficult to find a spot and it’s you won’t be able to fit a larger vehicle.

Hosting a private event at the House of Blues San Diego was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The venue itself is legendary for a reason—it had everything we needed and more, creating the perfect atmosphere for a high-impact, memorable event.

From day one, Patrick Bryant was a pleasure to work with. Professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating, he made the planning process seamless and stress-free.

A huge shoutout goes to Tara Harrison, Logistics Manager, who was truly phenomenal. Tara was responsive, creative, proactive, and an absolute joy to collaborate with. No detail was too small, no request too big—she effortlessly sourced any additional elements we asked for and ensured everything came together flawlessly. Her organization, communication, and problem-solving skills are second to none. Simply put, she is incredible at what she does.

The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we could not be happier with how the event turned out. Kudos to Live Nation for assembling such a stellar team at an iconic venue. It truly shows in the execution.

Highly recommend the House of Blues San Diego for any private event—you’ll be in outstanding hands.

I recently attended a conference event at the House of Blues live karaoke bar and found the experience to be quite memorable. The atmosphere was fabulous, immersing us in an energetic and welcoming vibe that set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

However, there were a few drawbacks. While the food was tasty and fresh, there weren’t enough tables and chairs for everyone to comfortably sit and enjoy their dinner and cocktails. One $18 cocktail—a vodka Red Bull—was steeper than expected, largely because Tito’s was considered a premium brand. To make matters worse, the cup was so small that it only held half of a Red Bull, even though I had paid for an entire can.

I recently attended a conference event at the House of Blues live karaoke bar, and the atmosphere was simply fabulous. The venue set an energetic and welcoming tone that made the evening truly unforgettable. Being my first time at a live band karaoke bar, I found it to be an absolute treat. The band was amazing and entertaining, creating an inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome to participate in karaoke regardless of their singing abilities. Our group had an amazing time, and the lively spirit of the place made it a standout experience.

The food served was tasty and fresh, contributing to the overall enjoyment. While the event was well-organized, there were minor challenges such as limited seating—there weren’t enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit comfortably during dinner and cocktail service. For example, one $18 vodka Red Bull stood out as particularly pricey, partly due to Tito’s being a premium brand. Additionally, the small cup size meant it held only half of a Red Bull, even though I paid for an entire can.

In summary, despite a few logistical hiccups, the evening at House of Blues was overwhelmingly positive. The delightful atmosphere and fantastic live band more than made up for the minor shortcomings, and I’d highly recommend this venue for future events.

I don’t even know where to begin. The entire team at SD House of Blues was on their A-Game for what I like to call, the wedding of the century! The Haas Wedding was held on Friday the 13th and from start to finish, they made all our spooky Christmas wishes come true. Tara and her team were so flexible when things went a little out of order, and they made sure that everyone on their team was on the same page. And oh my, they were so friendly and helpful! Every time I’d go running past, they were encouraging, kind, and so funny too! Every wedding has moments that don’t go perfectly, but with how hands-on the team at House of Blues was, you wouldn’t recognize anything going wrong. They handled everything quickly and smoothly, ensuring the Bride & Groom had the wedding of their dreams. I am so sad that I won’t be working with them anymore, but would definitely recommend their venue for a SICK wedding!

Side Note: The review is not saving my choices, but Food, Atmosphere, & Service are all 5/5!!

Great venue! Super artsy cool decor all around. We had dinner before the concert and that was the greatest decision of the night, as this got us in the venue ahead of the game. (Long line outside)The trick is to consume $25 per person at the restaurant and then you qualify for the fast pass. This will get you in the concert throught a lounge as soon as the doors open. As a result this Got us a great spot infront of the stage. Automatically This gave the concert a personal feel to it..overall a great experience . enjoy

The brisket and pulled pork was incredibly tender and delicious. The building was spacious and offered ample space to dance while still providing opportunities to mingle. The only downside was lack of parking and walking in a dilapidated area to get to the venue. I wouldn’t walk alone.
