The food here was absolutely delicious! The paneer curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—the spices were perfectly balanced without being too heavy. Paired with basmati rice, it was just the comfort food I needed.
Portions were generous and definitely worth the price. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and it felt like true homemade Indian cooking. I’d happily order from here again—it’s the kind of meal that makes you look forward to the leftovers the next day.
We started with the mutton paya soup, which was little spicy and good. After that, we tried the chicken kebab—it was tasty. Then we ordered the mixed fried rice, which was too much in terms of the quantity and decent taste but didn’t really stand out. We ended the meal with a lemon soda, which was refreshing.
The prices felt a bit on the higher side. There was only one person attending to all the tables, and the service was decent. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
Ambiance: The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, blending traditional Indian decor with modern touches. It’s a comfortable space suitable for both casual meals and special occasions.
Service: The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing prompt service and helpful recommendations. Their genuine hospitality enhanced the overall dining experience.
Food: The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, staying true to the rich culinary heritage of India. The biryanis are aromatic and flavorful, with perfectly cooked basmati rice and well-marinated meats. The kebabs are grilled to perfection, offering a delightful smoky taste. Vegetarian options are equally satisfying, showcasing the chef’s versatility. Each dish reflects the use of quality ingredients and traditional recipes.
Overall: House of Biryanis and Kebabs in North Wales delivers an authentic and memorable Indian dining experience. From the delectable food to the welcoming ambiance and excellent service, it’s a place I’d highly recommend to anyone seeking genuine Indian cuisine in the area.
opening. We have ordered Murgh malai kebab, garlic naan , chicken chettinad curry and goat dum
biryani.
It took a while to have the order ready, there were no water served to us for a while, we were sitting right in front of them where they were serving water to people who came after us, okay understandable forgot about us, but even after asking for water it took
a while. The silverware were missing as well. Anyways I can understand as its been right after the day of opening they are still not used to it.
First comes the murgh malai kebab, which was not even close to what we had in other restaurant, the chicken was so hard felt like it was over grilled and over charred as a result it lacked the juicy flavors which I would expect from kebabs. Next comes the Garlic naan and chicken chettinad curry, first off we asked if we can get a suggestion of a curry which does not have any sweet flavor , they recommended chettinad curry and we went with them blindly and however at the end the curry had a sweet flavor to it. I will not say the curry was not good, it’s just that we were not in a mood for such curry. There naan’s were the worst. Until this day ,I did not imagine that some one can go wrong with naan’s, they were so small and felt like they were not done
properly.
The only one thing which lived up to the hype was their hyderbadi goat dum biryani. Oh my god it was so amazing, I can even say it was one notch higher than the malvern location. The mutton was perfectly cooked , the spices were well balanced and it tasted delicious.
After this whole experience I did not want to rate this place yet as I wanted to give it another chance , given our love for the other HBK locations. Next weekend we ordered take away for chicken lollipops, Gongura mutton biryani & double ka meeta.Unfortunately it was another bad experience and here I am rating this place 3. The drums
of heaven ( weekend special) were so bad that we threw it away , the flavors were good but chicken felt so raw. The biryani had more of like red chilies flavor and it was lacking the gongura flavor. The double ka meeta we ordered only after we saw that it was on their specials, If there dessert on their weekend specials list tasted like this I dont know how the ones on their regular list tasted like. The flavor was missing over all, no sweetness , it tasted oily , bread was too saugy and we had to throw away that as well.
This is the first Indian restaurant where I had to try food which were supposed to be their weekend specials and literally toss them away in trash by not being able to eat the rest. If they keep going this way I don’t know. Completely disappointed as this place is way closer to where we live from, but I don’t think we will ever visit this place except for their goat dum biryani( hope that stays the same), we would rather travel to further locations of HBK where we always have a great experience. I am not ready to give this place a third chance until something drastically changes.
I wasn’t planning to stop for lunch—until the irresistible aroma from House of Biryani and Kebab pulled me in from what felt like a mile away. And I’m glad it did. The butter chicken was rich, flavorful, and comforting, and the price made it even better. I definitely over-ordered (lunch turned into a mini feast), but every bite was worth it.
If there’s one thing I’d like to see improved, it’s the staff’s attention to hygiene—particularly avoiding coughing around customers without covering up. It took away from an otherwise great experience.
That said, the food spoke for itself. I’ll be back—probably hungrier.
