Exceeded expectations. The Americano was top notch. They use quality local beans and know what they are doing. The bagels are also quality, I got the sourdough and it was excellent with the perfect amount of cream cheese. Will definitely be returning!

Getting more and more frustrated. Even asking for a garlic bragel to be lightly toasted gets the heck burned out of it! They seem to have lost any ability to not burn the outside of bagels :(.
For the money I would say it’s no longer worth it since they keep burning the heck out of the food no matter what you ask for. I guess they just don’t understand burnt garlic is bitter and awful.

Didn’t know what to get around here for lunch. And wow was I lucky to come upon this place.
Upon walking in it felt very local. It was clean, inviting and the smell was making me want food!
The menu is awesome with so many fantastic options.
I personally got the lox bagel and cream cheese. It was fresh and tasted awesome.

BEST BAGEL PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ. Bagels are fresher and larger than Bagelry. Portions are bigger and cheaper than the Bagelry. You get more stuff on your bagel without having to pay extra, which unfortunately is the case at the Bagelry. I always get a Lox sandwich with capers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber already included in the price which is $7. At the Bagelry when I order a Lox sandwich, I get a stale bagel twice smaller and I have to pay extra for capers and tomatoes- $13 total, which does not have any lettuce or cucumber in it. House of Bagels is the best bang for your buck and has the tastiest bagels around. (Pic is what I took to-go this morning)

Breakfest bagel – powdered eggs , tiny pieces of left over bacon strips burned beyond taste ok bagel, overall not a good value, tasteless, disappointed after paying 12$ for below average food.

Most of these poor reviews you’ll read about this place are very bitter and have no genuine reasoning to rate this place low. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years this is my go to bagel spot. They have a wide range of flavors from the bagels to their cream cheeses. Their bagels are great, nice and toasted if you’re considering it you have to give it a try.
