It started raining while we were walking so we made an impromptu and quick stop to check out this cute little bar. We both enjoyed our cocktails. The food menu showed vegan items upon request but we had just had dinner. I look forward to stopping in when I’m hungry and checking out the escape rooms too.

The Cafe and bare just opened Oct 27, 2023. The staff are so friendly and eager for guests to have a great time. The venue is great for small or medium sized parties, and they have several board games for all ages. The cocktails are lovely, and the food is tastey

Incredible! The service is prompt, welcoming and friendly. We had the (s)ham and cheese and chicken sandwich with fries which were surprisingly good – the bread was perfectly toasted yet soft and chewy. The building is gorgeous, being a funeral home previously and they even kept some of the original pews. The organist cove up above was kept intact, and space is smartly decorated with a little bit steampunk, a little bit Lovecraft, a little bit rustic.

Dimly lit and cozy, we enjoyed spending a few hours there playing games and enjoying the food and drink. We haven’t yet tried the escape room puzzles, but they look promising and we definitely plan to visit again soon!

Friendly staff and nice place to play games. Drinks were good! Good atmosphere There was a little bit of confusion regarding the ticketing system because somehow our tab and our friends got combined into one. The QR code ordering also didn’t seem to allow for customization (for example, selecting the gluten free crust). But I imagine they just need some time to work out those kinks. We look forward to returning and trying some of the food.

I enjoy the atmosphere, building, flatbreads, church pew seats, color-changing skeleton crow hanging from the ceiling, whimsical drinks, spacious parking lot, ability to accommodate groups, the presence of books and board games, vegetarian options, late hours, and the staff! We have only visited the restaurant, but will be back for the escape rooms. So glad to have a cool place like this open up nearby. There is a QR code to scan to order and pay, and the only issue was that most of our group couldn’t get adequate phone reception in the building to pull it up and there wasn’t a WiFi password readily available, but there are other ways to pay.

It’s not often you can order drinks by the shape of the glass you want to drink out of but you can do that here. The drinks are fun and food is good, if on the lighter side. Flatbreads are a good choice as are the Brusselss sprouts. Beware of the spicy zucchini flatbread if you don’t like spice…it’s not MN spicy
Very friendly staff and a great place to hang out with friends and do puzzles together!

Separate review from the Lodge of Lazarus Crowe, but the two feel so inseparably intertwined. Love the Lodge, and we always grab a drink and a bite to eat whenever we are here. Delicious drinks (especially a fan of the Dragon Margarita), and great food. Their current special of a grilled cheese and tomato bisque has become my favorite comfort food to order out. Love all the options with Herbivorous Butcher stuff.

We have been here twice now, once for drinks and once for food and drinks.
My wife loved the speciality cocktails and we both very much enjoyed the food! The Brussels sprouts, mac & cheese and loaded fries…all different and delicious. And, the service was amazing, the bartenders and kitchen staff all. Highly recommend!

Easily my favorite bar in the Twin Cities. I came here with a group of friends, and I got a taste of many of the drinks and food dishes. Everything was excellent. Plenty of non-alcoholic and veggie options too. The best part of this place is the venue itself – there is so much attention given to every last detail. Even the menu is fun to read. They have board games to borrow too. I can’t wait to come back and try one of their escape rooms at the Lodge of the Lazurus Crowe!
