The only thing nice about this place is that it’s adjacent to the Marriott hotel. Food is meh. Based on the food alone, the restaurant definitely would not survive on its if it wasn’t located in the hotel. But what really soured me on the place was the service. Waiter was slow to greet, bring drinks and take our order. They were out of things on their menu; items marked as favorites nonetheless, which speaks to poor management. Food took forever to arrive. And when the food did arrive, items were lukewarm or cold (salmon, broccoli and sweet potato fries). Our drinks were never refilled. My daughter wanted ketchup for her burger. And since the server never came back to check on us or the customary check-in to see how the food came out/tasted, I had to track him down to ask for ketchup. Told me he would bring it but never did so we had to ask another worker. I am very lenient on service which lends me to always tipping a minimum of 20%. But this experience with this server warranted me breaking my tipping rule.

Nice LOOKING place. Food is…meh. Ordered a “Philly cheesesteak.” Came with the sauce on the outside of the sandwich. WHY?!?! Why in the world would you put sauce on the top of the sandwich so I cant pick it up? If you’re mad at me, just say that. Took off the top…didn’t get better. No sauce inside the sandwich at all. Meat is dry and flavorless.
Husband Ordered fish and chips, was supposed to come with slaw. Came with a dry pile of lettuce.
Wouldn’t eat here again on a bet.

That wouldnt have been up to the standards of someone who’d been lost in the woods for a week eating twigs and beetles. When we asked what was up with the “slaw,” the waitress had to take a picture of it to go ask the back what it was, then came back and told us it was “our take on a slaw.” It was a pile of dry lettuce with a whisper of…oil? Maybe? Ain’t a soul alive or dead who would call that slaw. All my ancestors collectively clutched their pearls. Dry lettuce slaw and sauce on the top of the sandwich…I cannot. Absolutely not.

Very friendly staff. We went around 330 on a Sunday funday. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere was entertaining as well as comfortable. The waitress was helpful when we couldn’t make up our minds about a meal. This place has great energy and I’d recommend it. The food was amazing. Salmon and Pot roast with the sampler appetizer.

Teresa and Jennifer were very attentive and friendly. Stopped by for beer and a cocktail. A little pricey, but it’s a fancier place than normal set in an historic building. A really beautiful place.

Today, 11/29/2025, my daughter and I again visited Houlihan’s around 2:00 p.m. for lunch after a previous visit where the meal preparation quality was unsatisfactory, which I reported to the kitchen manager, who assured me that he would ensure I would be well-taken care of on my next visit. I ordered a salad with salmon with special instructions for special preparation, and my daughter ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich made with salmon and fries. Our service host who took our orders, Ms Carrie, was awesome and provided great customer service in ensuring our orders were accurately reported to the kitchen and went over and beyond by calling the head chef, Chef Dre’, to our table so that I could personally explain my desired salmon preparation. Both service providers were personable, pleasant, upbeat energy, showed genuine interest in ensuring a great experience, extremely open and attentive to our needs. They carefully listened to my instructions, and Chef Dre’ precisely executed accordingly. Ms Carrie frequently visited our table to ensure my daughter and I were satisfied and enjoying our food, and she topped off our drinks. The food was freshly prepared and was impressively DELICIOUS, and the customer service was just as AWESOME. This was the absolute best restaurant experience my daughter and I have ever had thanks to Ms Carrie and Mr. Chef Dre’… Every restaurant should have a Ms Carrie and a Chef Dre’ on staff so that every customer can experience the high level of customer service they provide.

We ate at this restaurant last night. Half of the table (about 15 guests) had issues with their food. My friend and I ordered the COD. While his was cooked well, mine was noticeably lighter. Once opened, it was obviously a undercooked.
My spouse ordered a shrimp pasta that she said was bland without much flavor or sauce. Another guest with us said the pork chops lacked flavor and were too “gamey”.
To top this off, they were out of any dish that used grilled chicken. That took several entrees off the menu. We were not informed of this until our group was well into drink and cocktail ordering.
The waiter (who was nice) was shocked when we all said we didn’t need to go boxes, as most of the food wasn’t close to finished. We left without touching much after our appetizers. We left the restaurant still hungry.

We enjoyed a promotion celebration dinner on the outdoor patio at Houlihan’s. Conveniently located in the Marriott Columbus location, our group of 6 enjoyed our waitress Aliyah who was very delightful. She made great suggestions for appetizer choices! The lemon pepper wings and the mushrooms were both really delicious. We also ordered dinner for all. I ordered the salmon which came with asparagus and potatoes for sides. I found it to be just slightly too salty. Others in our group tried the chicken wrap, burgers and the chicken parm., all commented they were very good. We kept Aliyah busy with drink orders for over a hour. She was the best and handled everything in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend!

I have never had an unpleasant experience at Houlihan’s. Everyone is always soooo pleasant; It keeps me coming back. Kim at our uptown location is the star of the show as she greets you at the door. A big beautiful smile and kind words always wins me. Then Aliah’s excellent table service ices the cake, and the food… DELICIOUS. I’ll return a thousand times for this kind of service. They are always my first choice. Occasionally I give others a try, but I always end up right back. Keep up the good work team Houlihan’s.
