I’m an extremely ridiculous chicken fried steaks snob. I love chicken fried steak but I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had a decent edible one. Well, February 6th 2026 I finally located a place that makes a phenomenally incredible chicken fried steak. It’s worth a 160 mi drive! The rest of the food is just as incredible. The gravy is really handmade gravy and even the green beans are awesome! They’re cooked with some kind of bacon grease I’m betting but not only do they taste incredible but they’re not stringy and they give you what most other people would measure as a double serving. Of special note… Our server was Brittany. She’s the most incredible girl. She was so sweet and so fun to talk with. She’s got a great sense of humor and laughed at every joke I threw at her even though, all of my jokes are old man jokes. What a heartwarming place.

The service is fast, friendly and phenomenal. The waitstaff are like flies; you have to wave them away so you can eat. Some of the best service that you will find anywhere.
They did an excellent job on the renovation of this old building, previously a liquor store. Probably a convenience store before that. Big windows, lots of light, comfortable booths and tables. Nicely decorated inside.
The plates are generously filled.
The Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy is the restaurant’s signature menu item. Now if you are used to and expecting a gigantic, thick over breaded southern style chicken fried steak you will be disappointed. Houligan’s CFS is thin and lightly breaded. Tremendously tender. Tasty, almost fall apart tender. It is hard to determine if is an extremely tenderized cube steak or a large thin ground beef patty. I had the CFS sandwich. The steak was big enough that I doubled it over to form a two-patty sandwich. I had it with slaw and green beans. Fresh crisp cabbage, carrot, creamy dressing with noticeable bite to it. A tingle on the tongue. Yeah, the green beans are from a can. The seasoning is unique. Not loaded with butter or bacon. I like ‘em. Check the pictures.
My wife had the three-piece fish and chips with fries. Both the fish and fries looked to be factory, prepared food. Good sized fish slabs and a basket of fries. It was good, but it didn’t wow her.
A nice addition to Broken Arrow. A restaurant, that I would recommend to friend.

Was out the Broken Arrow way and decided to check this out. Was surprised to find it wasn’t the same owner as Bros. Hooligan, but the same menu and preparation. They were plenty busy, and well staffed it seemed. Interior wasn’t nearly as warm and inviting as Bros. H, but plenty of decor on the walls, a mix of booths, tables and high tops. They have a small bar area. Food was good, tasted exactly as expected for the main dishes. I had the fried shrimp dinner, always my favorite, with cottage fries. Portion of the cottage fries was half what you’d expect at Bros H, which was disappointing. Wife had the fish and chips. Rather small portions of fish when compared to other places, almost like fish sticks from long ago but a decent amount of okra to go along with. As a start, we ordered the rolls and butter…I’ll skip it next time. Rolls were dense, barely warm and came 4 to a basket. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding…guess for $9 I was expecting something like the one from Charleston’s but instead it was a reheated piece about a third that size and nowhere near enough bourbon sauce to coat every bite….big disappointment there too.

Food was excellent! I had the salmon and hubs had the chicken fried tenders. It’s almost exactly like Bros. Houligan in Tulsa. Staff was very attentive and atmosphere was great but it was totally packed with no empty tables. So be aware it might be a few minutes to get a table.

My husband and I were craving fish and chips, so I google searched and this was the place that was nearest to us. This was our first time going and we also ordered the Cajun fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. The fried pickles were amazing with the seasoned ranch! Everything was super fresh and hot. Not as expensive as the “Fish on the Hook” truck that we usually like to go to but just as devourable. Service was attentive and very helpful. I look forward to trying their other menu items! Thank you!

First time visit. Seated as soon as we walked in. Waitress polite, knowledgeable, and suggested a number of items. Had the fish and chips. They were very good. Wife had the chicken strips and they were good also. Met the owner who was very polite and customer oriented. A great experience. We will return.

It’s valentines day… dinner.. yummy. Ribeye steak. Loaded baked potato and asparagus… really good meal. Service was fine. Always great atmosphere… can’t go wrong with Hooligans !! Love the shrimp . Bread is lovely.

Man. I really wanted to love this place I went. I went on a Sunday afternoon and got sat right away. It’s really nice in there. All the staff is very friendly and it’s clean. I love how they give my five year-old drawing board that she can race and have fun with and that kept her occupied the entire time which I love because she’s autistic and an Olive Garden. She got kind of loud, but so I’m glad about that. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The green beans were great the mashed potatoes and gravy were great. The chicken fried steak was disappointing. I was wanting a crispy crust warm gravy seasoned meat and the crust was just like it was like made with the old oil or something. I don’t really know, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. I so wanted to love this place.
