Overall the food is pretty good, but was left wanting for more flavor between the different meats, as they mostly tasted the same. Could have had a better variety of flavors with the provided sauces as well.

As for service, tbh eh could have explained the process for ordering a little better, as we would have ordered differently.

Atmosphere seems a little close to everything, but not bad for this type of restaurant, considering the space.

After cooking our own food, we left with a strong smell of meat and cooking oil after we left—wanted an immediate shower afterwards.

A fun experience. My first hot pot restaurant. A huge selection of veggies and sea food.
It’s AYCE so if you can’t or don’t eat alot, it’s not worth the visit. I had read where you could make ala cart purchases and that is what I was looking forward too. That , I was informed is no longer an option.
My daughter and grandson enjoyed it. My granddaughter of 5, ate free.
You grilled your meat at the table.
If you like hot pot and bar b que give it a try.

Fantastic!

We had two servers, Dan and Diane. They both were very attentive. It was our first time here so Dan was knowledgeable and explained how to order food. Diane was friendly and easy going, we ordered something incorrectly, but she understood what we needed and was able to provide easily.

We were sat right away. The soups were per person so we were able to order two different types and try them out.

The add-ins were near the front of the store in a freezer. It seemed like it was really cold because the veggies froze to the bottom of the container.

We were only going to get hotpot, but the grill was only 3 dollars more so we upgraded to that. The meats were great.

The only problem I have it with the atmosphere was really lackluster. They had TVs on the wall that didn’t show anything. And there was no decorations anywhere.

Where do I even start….for the amount of money they charge you, this is NOT worth it.

We got hotpot and Korean bbq. If you’ve been to other hot pot places like Chinatown then you’ll find this place’s hotpot selection very lacking. I got bone broth and it was very very salty. As for the seasoned meat for the bbq, it wasn’t fresh at all.

The only good thing was the service. The young American waiter was very helpful!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY

So happy this place opened here in Saratoga Springs! Hotpot Haven has hotpot and BBQ. Both options are very good. Since its opening, I’ve been here many times and this time, I just had hotpot. They have many different soup bases (I got original bone broth), kinds of meats, vegetables, appetizers, and sauce options (make your own sauce bar!). Yes, this place is relatively new so the service is not yet up to speed, but we were understanding about it. Everytime I come back, it gets better 🙂 Very nice clean space

I really liked this place. I wasn’t super familiar with going to hotpot, so it was neat that they give you direction in how long to cook the meat and the veggies. The flavors were wonderful. Dan was very friendly and answered questions we had. I should have taken pictures. yummy!

Huge hotpot fan over here, and I do not recommend this one. Food took way too long to get out, and the system for getting veggies and seafood was inefficient. The spicy beef was not edible and looked questionablely like chicken organs. Where the veggies and seafood were stored everything was frozen, and had a BAD fish smell. The sauce bar was very empty. The owners were taking up two tables to just lounge around then eat their own dinner. The owners child kept wandering into the kitchen which feels very wrong. Drinks and broth were never refilled. I will not be going out of my way to return to this restaurant.

I rarely leave one-star reviews, but the outright deception we encountered at this establishment has left me absolutely livid and determined to warn every family out there. They had the audacity to charge full adult prices for our sweet, innocent nine and eight year old children, pulling out a ridiculous measuring tape as if height somehow justifies treating kids like grown ups at the dinner table. It felt like a calculated scam designed to squeeze every last dollar from families who just want a pleasant outing.

We will never set foot in this greedy, utterly family unfriendly place again, and I mean that with every fiber of my being. The entire experience turned what should have been a joyful meal into a frustrating battle over unfair policies that punish children for simply growing a little taller than some arbitrary line on a tape. Management clearly has no understanding of what it means to welcome families, and their stubborn insistence on this exploitative rule ruined our evening completely.

I urge every parent reading this to avoid this nightmare at all costs. Protect your hard earned money and your children’s sense of fairness by steering clear entirely. To the owners and managers: wake up, rethink your heartless approach, and get rid of that stupid measuring tape before you alienate every decent family in the area for good.
