I have made a large order like this with you several times and as you can see below the dressings were spilled everywhere and four of our seven pizzas looked like they were turned sideways. I did not notice this till the delivery person was gone or I would not have accepted it. My total order with tip was $295 and you would think spending that much money the food would be great. I am very disappointed and not sure if I will use use in the future for my staff. I really feel like a full or partial refund should have been had for this order. Hot Box has made this right by giving me a credit for my order being so crazy. For that I will give them four stars and will continue to order from them.

We had delivery from the downtown store, a fairly large order. 4 pizzas, drinks etc. A guy in a white Toyota pulls up with our order. He was in the front of the house for 5-7 minutes before attempting to come up the walk, which is 11 stairs. I think he said his name was Adam or Alan. We couldn’t understand him. The guy was so drunk he could barely get out of his car. My husband literally helped him out. Along with my oldest son (teenager 17) down the steps. He and my husband, John, retrieved our well over $150 delivery. John (husband) stated later, the front of his pants were wet. Not knowing if he urinated on himself or spilled something. (I’m guessing the latter) As well as dropping the bag that contained our dinner as he was clumsily or drunkenly reaching back into his car. Adam or Alan lingered for, at least 20 minutes after completion of delivery..
Idk if Hot box pizza outsource delivery or not but, at minimum they should monitor the driver’s better. Perhaps a portable breathalyzer is in order at all locations. We haven’t ordered HB pizza since and probably will not. I hope Adam or Alan made it. That guy didn’t belong on the roads, let alone delivering food

Absolutely ZERO customer service. We stood at the counter for over 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. By then we had just submitted our order online. I asked the girl in the back if we could have our cups and she threw them on the counter & walked away. I have never had such rude customer service in my 47 years. Won’t be back. Ever.

Well… the pizza crust is not bad, but the “Summer Pie” as described … “This gem is our take on a classic! With Garlic, Tomato, & Fresh Basil on Olive Oil…” is absolutely NOTHING like the pizza I received. Crust? Check. Cheese? Check. That’s it. No garlic. No tomato. No fresh basil. No olive oil. Substitute banana peppers and burnt sun dried tomatoes I guess? *sigh* I hate leaving poor reviews, and I thought the lower ratings might be erroneous. But sometimes we get what we deserve… as I guess I did?
UPDATE: The owner (Tim) reached out and made things right. Mistakes happen, and a lesson for myself to check the accuracy of my order before I leave a restaurant. Appreciate the direct follow up and excellent customer service. We can all use a little grace, and we can all give a little as well.

I loved this place! Both my husband and my pizza was so delicious. I will say, it was very hot and muggy eating inside the shop and it was already a 92 degree day so it was no relief from the heat, but I guess a pizza shop maybe can’t control that too well. I enjoyed the vibes inside and thought it was just a cool place to eat. I wish we had one of these near us!
I did also wish that we could have gotten smaller portions. Even the personal pans were 6 pieces and though they were small, it felt like too much.

I went to go place an order for breadsticks just now and they wouldn’t serve me. They said they are no longer taking orders. There was no one in the restaurant. It’s currently 8:45pm and they close at 2am.

I shouldn’t have to give this place even a star. This place is absolutely atrocious. We walked in to order a pizza at midnight when the place closes at 1 am on Thursday night and was told they had closed. I slowly walked away and said even though it says 1 am and the cashier proceeded to cuss at me at that point. I love a good hot box pizza but will now never support this business because of that employee.
