I stopped by HotBox on my way back into town one evening a few weeks back. It had been years since I had been to one, and I forgot there was one so near home.
I ordered to go, but I was impressed by the inside. It’s a quaint place with a good environment, however, I had my pup with me. Therefore, we were taking it home.
Caleb rang up my order, and he was very friendly and efficient. Thanks for the great customer service. I ran a few errands close by while the pizza was in the oven, and when I went back, the gentleman who assisted was just as friendly. Very impressed, as I had received less than stellar customer service at a place close by just a few weeks before.
I had the Party Fowl pizza, which was outstanding! I also ordered some Stix, which are always good with a healthy does of dipping sauce. What most impressed me (besides the service), was how NOT greasy the pizza was! I’ve included a pic of the box, post-pizza. Again, the last time I ordered from a neighboring place, the grease was dripping from the box and actually went through and soaked my car seat a bit. So, whatever, y’all are doing, keep doing it!

We have been customers since this location opened, and I can’t say there weren’t times, over the years, that something was wrong. It’s just that their service is so good, it’s never a problem for long.
Last night we ordered a stack of pizzas and they didn’t show up. We called, they apologized and brought another and DURING that time, a neighbor brought over the other pizza. I was on the phone with the manager when I found it, and he saw the humor in the situation and still offered to refund our order. No need.
People make mistakes, but they always fix it without question.

When I walked in I wasn’t sure about it. As I ordered I noticed that the pizza was being hand tossed which really impressed me! The employees were very kind and friendly which was really welcoming. The pizza arrived quickly and was pretty good. The breadsticks were AMAZING! Very salty and homemade tasting. The pizza was a little too greasy but it doesn’t affect the taste. But the best part of all…..the tootsie rolls! Is that really the only candy you can afford to buy? I understand that some candy is just so expensive but a lot of people don’t like tootsie rolls. Luckily I do so it wasn’t a big deal I just feel that they could do better than that. I was very hungry and it soothed my stomach! I rate it a 4/5 because it was almost perfect.

Pizza was pretty good, the salad could have been better as it was about 50% cheese and didn’t have much in the way of greens and other veggies. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean.

So I ordered a pizza from this place went back to get another one made because he didn’t put on it when I was asking for. and the guy behind the counter wanted to argue with me and tell me he’s not remaking the pizza. The person who used to make the pizza was a lot better at it. if I was anyone who likes this place before He worked there, don’t come back to it. And now is telling me I have to buy another one just to have it re-made
Update: Went and had another pizza made this dude had a nerve to do it again. If I was anyone who used to love eating at this place, don’t eat here anymore. If the Food is wrong the first time, don’t expect him to Make a replacement pizza and give it to you. Expect to pay for another pizza, And don’t expect him to do it right the second time. Hope y’all like Tons of uncooked grease with your food. And if you ask for anything extra, Don’t expect to get any extra toppings like sauce on the pizza.

I used to order from here weekly for family pizza night and it was always amazing. Super fast delivery and order was always perfect. Over the last several months the weekly ordering has stopped and I’ve only ordered 3 times. Each time something has been forgotten. First time it was the 2 drinks, the delivery girl offered to go back for them I told her not to worry about it and she said she would have them put a credit on my account. No credit was applied. The next time all of my dipping sauces were missing, 5 sauces. I called and they sent them out. Tonight again a dipping sauce was missing, this time just 1 and I’m not making them come back for 1 sauce. The pizza crust tonight is also very different than normal. It’s almost a thin crispy crust not the typical thickness. Sad to see things slipping as I love the pizza and breadsticks here.

Hotbox delivered on a Tuesday evening in under 30 minutes. It was faster than expected and very tasty! They were careful to include all of the sauces we ordered. We really enjoyed the XL thin crust pizza and breadsticks

The pizza must have changed because that was the worst pizza I have ever experienced at hot box in years. I normally get pizza at hotbox every now and then and it usually tastes really good, but the cheese and pepperoni tasted so off today. The pepperoni tasted more like bacon and the cheese had the linger of a bacon taste too in a way.

This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed superior customer service by the folks at our local Hotbox Pizza in Whitestown. This time we had ordered from them and had it delivered. It said the estimated delivery time was around 30 min and it ended up taking about an hour. We knew they were busy and never complained; just went about eating our pizza and never thought twice about it. Well, about a week later, this shows up. Totally unexpected, definitely not necessary and completely appreciated! Great example of a local business owner who cares about their brand and customers! Well done HB Crew!
