I order from these guys roughly 3 times each month. The food is GREAT and relatively inexpensive taking into consideration how much EVERYTHING costs nowadays. Even when they are super busy typically weekend nights, the food is really really good, and the phone etiquette, hospitality, and accuracy with the payment transactions is on the mark. I drive 5 miles here because the truth is that they are the best Chinese takeout for miles. They would probably do very well in China Town Manhattan, no BS. Do not order thier Bourbon Chicken! It is not what you are expecting. Everything else here is great, but thier Bourbon chicken is water flavored chicken mixed with vegetables. When I went back and told them I thought they gave me the wrong order the lady got mad at me and started swearing at me in Chinese, every othwr experience I’ve had here was great, except this one. I hope this review helps someone, because I hate writing them but thought this one was necessary.

I have been to more than my share of Chinese restaurants in my lifetime. They range from spectacular to horrifying. I am excited to share with you that I discovered this hidden gem. I come down to this area weekly and always look for new places to try. I am beyond excited to report that this is one of the best Chinese restaurant experiences I have had. Gerry and his family treat you like their extended family. Each dish is better than the last. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu. You will love this place too! i ordered beef with mushrooms and this is what they give me. they gave me 4 pieces of beef and then filled the rest up with veggies when i asked for mushroom and beef. the mushrooms are right from a can and have no flavor, they tasted like water. they knew what they were doing filling my plate up with low quality mushrooms and veggies when i asked for beef and mushrooms. it’s not fair because i ate the beef and 1 small mushroom. and im not driving back to complain. and if i was alergect to veggies i would of had to went all the way back. so im making this review so you know what to expect when u ask for mushrooms and beef.

Food is good but the lady over the phone DOES NOT listen. How many times do I have to repeat white rice only to be given the opposite??? When I called back to tell her she gave me the wrong thing, she wanted to argue! Also the egg roll was so greasy that there was oil in the bottom of the bag – picture for proof.

First thing I did when I moved here was look for a Chinese take-out. And the first time I went to Hot Wok the food was great. And then something happened… they must have fired the good chef or he/she died or something because the food went to hell. Greasy, tough beef, stringy chicken, and they skimp on the meat in combo meals. Eleven or twelve bucks for a container of rice, onions, carrots, and almost no curry chicken. Screw that. Long story short, if I’m nearby I’ll pick up half a dozen eggrolls there because they really are good. BUT THAT’S ALL–I’LL NEVER ORDER AN ENTREE OR ANYTHING THERE EVER AGAIN.

The food wasn’t bad but the demeanor of the person working the register was very negative. I asked if there was plasticware in the bag and I felt like a child getting reprimanded by saying you didn’t ask. Unfortunately customer service is one of my biggest things when it comes to reviews. I probably would not go back just due to that.
