This food is not only DELICIOUS. You get a variety, pay a fair price and every item in this dish tastes good!
One thing I would mention about this place is the extra sauce in the chicken teriyaki so I always ask for less teriyaki sauce. Otherwise highly recommend!!!

This is some of the best Teriyaki and sushi to-go in Tacoma on a budget. Highly recommend. Owners are friendly and very hard working. Longer than expected wait times, but worth the wait.

Me and my husband ordered here for our anniversary on our way out of town.
I ordered #32 and my husband ordered #10.
Looked good but about 20 minutes after I ate got extremely sick, my husband was fine.
Ruined are anniversary plans as I sat in the doctors most of the night.
Called next day to tell lady and she denied even having those menu items.
I told her I still had the recite and was turning them into the health department.
After I hung the lady even called me back to try an argue it still was not that restaurant.

Mr.Choi is best chef in town. I missed his Nigiri and sushi rolls so much. Fish and sushi rice textures are ammmmmmazing. My mouth was so spoiled every single bite. Yakisoba noodles thickness are just perfect. My picky eater little son enjoyed chicken yakisoba so much. I am so happy that he opened his business now I could go eat often!
Prices are reasonable. When I dined in, there were a lot of take out orders. I highly recommend Hot Teriyaki! This place the gem.

My aunt’s family runs a teriyaki restaurant. They first started serving teriyaki in Federal Way, and it’s been over 23 years now that they’ve been running just this teriyaki place. The teriyaki sauce and dressings are especially delicious—so good that a lot of people come by just to buy the sauce and dressing! You should definitely stop by—you won’t be disappointed!

We’ve tried a lot of the teriyaki places around, and this is the best by far. Portions are good for the price. Lots of options. SUSHI made fresh. Plus it all tastes clean and delicious. It might be a little wait, because good food brings in people, but it’s worth it.

Finally found my old sushi chef Choi at Hot Teriyaki, which just opened their new sushi bar. Choi has been my sushi chef for over thirty years and used to work at Kyoto Japanese restaurant until he went out on his own (about time)!
Food was exceptional and super fresh. Large cuts of fish perfectly selected and cut to perfection. We had tuna, yellowtail, salmon, mackerel and unagi (eel), with Tacoma, Red Dragon and Spicy Scallop rolls. We also had fried shrimp and gyoza as appetizers but ate them before taking pictures.
As I mentioned, everything was fresh and delicious, quick service and a great atmosphere. Make sure you come out to see Choi and support him so we can turn this into a full sit-down sushi bar. I highly recommend this place!

This place will always be my family’s go-to Chinese/Sushi restaurant to dine in or order Togo. The staff is beyond kind, they have gifted my kids cookies and tiny candies everytime they are with me. They always go above and beyond with serving it as quick as possible and the prices are unbeatable anywhere in Tacoma. Seriously the best place to go. You won’t regret!
