I was a little skeptical based on the exterior and we thought it was closed because we kept trying to reach the wrong door under the “Jamaican Cafe” sign (actual door is under the “Liquor” sign to the right outside the gate). But the jerk chicken and plantains were great and decently priced. We scraped our plates clean. The portions were large and the inside dining is nice. I dined in but most of the customers came in ordering to-go. Service was slow because there was only one person making the food and taking orders, so I wouldn’t come in for the full-service experience, but the food was excellent.

Visiting from CA with my mom, sister and niece for the weekend. The gentleman who cooked the food and rung us up was very nice, professional & knowledgeable about the menu. Restaurant was quiet, clean & food came out hot & fresh. He presented us with delicious crispy cold water as well without even asking. I skipped rice & peas and he volunteered all cabbage for my jerk chicken plate, which was great. My sister is vegetarian and had plenty on the menu to choose from as well. It was my mom and nieces first time having authentic Jamaican food and they loved it. The plates had huge portions. We each got our own but easily could’ve shared 2 or 3 plates between the 4 of us(3 adults & one 11 year old). Money well spent today. Delicious lunch. Thank you.

I ordered the jerk chicken to go and wow, it was amazing! The flavors were spot on, the portions were big, and this place is such a hidden gem. It might be in a corner spot, but it’s one you definitely don’t want to miss.

Awesome place for a vegan Jamaican plate! Ordered jerk tofu, this place gives you a lot of sauce which is a lot generous than some other Jamaican places I tried. The food is soooo good too, with plantains and patties for $ 3/4. Can’t beat this, and they give you a lot! Want to try the non spicy version of this dish next time, FYI jerk plate is a lil spicy

Telling you right now, these brothers make an absolutely amazing vegan jerk tofu! Couldn’t even get home before I got into it, and really enjoyed the flavor and slight crispiness of the tofu, paired with the rice and peas and plantain. The cabbage was real good too, overall a real solid plate. Also appreciate my guy that took my order as he was very friendly and made sure I got everything I needed. I’ll definitely be back, and bringing friends too!

Food:
I ordered the curry goat roti, rice & peas, plantains & a fruit punch drink. In my opinion the food
was below average. I was shocked because based on the reviews that I saw prior to visiting I was expecting the food to be great& it wasn’t. The ratio of rice & peas was very disproportionate; there was an excessive amount of rice with small amount of peas included in the dish. The curry goat was average; not as seasoned as I consistently get from comparable Jamaican restaurants. The plantains were not hot and were super bland & dry- I only ate two because of this.
The bottled fruit punch was ok as well. I was interested in getting the lemonade and sampled it and it tasted like Borden’s lemonade although the person taking my order claims it was homemade; it definitely wasn’t.
Service:
The customer service was great!! The cashier was very accommodating and helpful providing tips on how best to eat the roti, since it was my first time having the curry goat in roti form. He also checked on me throughout my meal.
Atmosphere:
Truly a hidden gem (aesthetically speaking) based on the location! It is decorated very well& is a very inviting space. Seemed very clean.

Came straight here from the airport. We barely make it on time. Didn’t know they were closing. Take it to go. I’m glad we came, though. The food was super delicious, especially Jerk Chicken. The portions are huge. Highly recommended.

I happened upon this quaint and cozy Jamaican restaurant in Stafford this weekend. The atmosphere, music and staff is a vibe! The staff was very friendly, attentive and welcoming. I tried the stew chicken, curry chicken and oxtail and I’d rate them all a 10/10. I’d be going back sooner than later. It’s now my new favorite Jamaican spot.
