This is a wonderful little hot dog stand in amongst stores near the Glass Bridge. My husband got the regular hot dog, and I got the German Bratwurst. Both were delicious with really soft buns that held the hot dogs and toppings well.
The owner was very friendly, and we got to chat a bit with him.
I will definitely visit again.

Excellent grub, simple and inexpensive. The condiment bar includes most everything you might need to dress your dog. Based on previous reviews, I tried the Krainer, and it was very good. For a decadent dig, be sure to include cream cheese. Also, leave a few extra minutes, the owner is super friendly and enjoys a chat.

Always a good time chatting with Tom, he’s an amazing guy to chat with and he makes some pretty dang good food too. The area he has is always clean too and he has some pretty awesome decorations. Tom is the type of guy who remembers details about your life as you come back it just really shows how much he cares about his work and the people at UWT!

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, the owner had to close down for a year, but fortunately he’s back in business! I finally got to try the rosemary chicken sausage and it was such a nice lunch treat! The sausage was absolutely delicious and the size is great. The owner is super friendly and welcoming too! I would recommend you to grab a delicious hot dog during your lunch break if you’re I’m the area!

Brought my family in to grab some hot dogs today, 05/08/2025 it threw us for a hot minute, because the place is in the UW building in downtown, but I promise, it’s worth it! The hot dogs are genuinely delicious, even the buns are superb! As others have stated, the owner is super friendly and endeavors to chat with everyone that comes through, it’s truly a wonderful place. Thanks for the wonderful service!

My friend and I came here to grab a quick bite. I definitely enjoyed the hot dog I got the Bratwurst from Germany. I loved it for sure there’s a condiment stand where you can add the condiments to your own liking. I will be coming back for sure. The owner is outgoing, easy to talk to and super friendly I loved chatting with him!

Shannon and I went here earlier today- Oct 31, 2023 — before driving around Tacoma for a while. The owner was very friendly and provided very good hot dogs and outstanding customer service in a relaxed atmosphere. It was simple yet high quality food in our opinion. I had a beef hot dog and Shannon had a German bratwurst. There were lots of items with which to top our hotdogs. This is a small local business run by a friendly gentleman who works hard to make it work. We will definitely return.

I missed this place so much but they’ve finally reopened in Mattress Factory building. The quality is the same, they still have the complimentary toppings bar area and the owner still has his iconic car decor. Glad to see it back for the community!!! (Takes cash and card)
