What I really love is the buffet-style setup. You pick and choose exactly what you want at your own pace, no flagging anyone down, no pressure. It makes the whole hotpot experience feel really relaxed and fun, especially if you’re bringing first-timers.
And, can we talk about the wintermelon tea?! It’s so good that I genuinely wish I could take home a big to-go cup every single time. Someone make it happen!
Highly recommend—whether it’s your first hotpot experience or your tenth!
The price was quite reasonable as the place is all you can eat, but the quality of the food itself isn’t that great. The seafood wasn’t very fresh, and the meat was not of the best quality. The soup bases also weren’t very authentic or as spicy as they claimed.
Cleanliness is also a bit of a concern, since the restaurant had a lot of parts that looked a bit dilapidated including flickering lights that weren’t addressed and furniture that looked quite beat up.
Overall experience was okay, but definitely not the best hot pot I’ve had by a long shot.
Now the food selection? Way more diverse than other food places. You have the basic veggies, seafood like snow crab legs, mussels, fish, variety of meats, a lot of sauce options in the bar, the appetizer they serve you with the fried chicken and pickled/sauced veggies, free sweet drinks like lemonade and tea (though you can order and pay extra for other drinks which is worth to get with a big group), dessert bar, etc.
It’s pretty empty during the weekday, so it may feel awkward. Servers and other staff will be nearby to assist you if you need any help. I love the independence afforded in this place. I think not many people know or try this place since it’s inside the Hub Food Court but definitely a favorite hotpot place for many of family and friends.
Very affordable for an AYCE hotpot place with diverse food options, tasty food, and good seating.
We sat down and we were immediately served some popcorn chicken! It was very bland (not even salted!), but very crunchy.
This hotpot place is very different in that EVERYTHING is buffet style, including all meats and seafood. No order from a menu/app except for soft drinks and the soup base. Everything is included in the price of $32.99/adult (child is $16.99 for age 10 and under 5ft), but soft drinks and alcohol. Soda is in a can, so no free refills. Dining time is limited to 90mins.
There are buttons at every table to call a server over for more water/soup, bill or all other services; however, the servers were very attentive in that we rarely had to press the button to get help! The times that we did press the button, we were helped immediately.
One thing that I really enjoyed about this place was that everything was proportioned out into small portions (except for veggies), so after grabbing one dish of something, I grab a dish of something else, and in the end, I end up eating a larger variety of food! I left feeling like I really got my money’s worth since I felt like I ate a lot of different foods.
There is a standard sauce station. I normally really love the restaurant house sauce, but I didn’t really like the one here. It was pretty bland. There are fresh cut fruits, yellow and ice cream as dessert! I think ice cream is limited to one per person.
