We were at Westgate and decided to give this place a try! We love trying new things and we love some good caijun food! We started off with the crawfish etouffee. Wich is French for smothered. It was sooo good! I love the spice level and the rice was perfectly cooked!! For the main course we went with the catfish basket with seasoned fries and the crawfish noodles. Both were OK but not the best I’ve ever had. The catfish for example was like it was shaved thin so they could cut the cost and get like 3 piece of fish out of one filet. Like super thin!! You could barely taste the flavor of the fish because the batter was thicker than the fish. Now I’ve been down south and had catfish and it was always thick and nice. But not here…it seems like restaurants in Westgate have been having a hard time. This one definitely needs to do a better job or it will end up being like all the others and not make it. I would hate to see that happen!! Please go and support this restaurant and hopefully they can get there products better!!
As for the crawfish noodles. They were pretty good. I wish they were great tho! All in all it was a fun time and I left with a full belly!

Visiting from out of town and we don’t have a Hot N Juicy where I live. The last time I visited one of these places was in Vegas over 10 years ago. It only took a few mins for us to be seated, a party of 4. The bucket they brought us was dirty and have leftover juices and sauce on it and the wall at the table we were seated at had juices and sauce on it. So it was already not so great when we first got there. The service here wasn’t that great. Our server didn’t seem very friendly or attentive, and it took a while for him to take our order and get things we asked for. The food itself was okay overall, but the garlic noodles were way too salty. We ended up having to take them off the bill. My brother ordered etoufee and we were later told they didn’t have it more than 15 mins after we placed the order. My drink was also made incorrectly. I ordered a spicy margarita and it was missing the tajin and was not spicy at all. My in-law ordered one of their boils and asked for it to be made spicy, but it was not spicy at all. Nothing really seemed to be going right, which was weird because they only had 3 other tables while we were there, but for the price, I expected a bit more attention to detail on our orders and better customer service.

I stopped by Hot and July to try the crawfish. Being from the South, I had to give them a shot! They don’t taste exactly like they’re from the Gulf, but the seafood here is still really good.

I actually brought my brother here one year as a surprise, and he loved it. The waits can be long in the evening, but if you come during the day there’s no wait and plenty of seating.

The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the place is clean. I’m thankful for the great experiences I’ve had here so far, and we’ll definitely continue to come back!

The food was ok. 18% surcharge for being in groups of 6 or more was a bit ridiculous. On top of that super expensive dishes they offer. The étouffée was cold. The service provided to us by kat was absolutely horrible. She took 4/6 people’s order and then walked off to back. We tried to call her and it was impossible to get her back. She was nowhere to be found except when it was time to collect the bill. To top it off they are charging my friend twice on her card after she paid on Friday! The service and the additional charges are super trashy just like the waiter we had. I would much rather go to angry crab shack. Better service better food and you don’t have to deal with those rude servers. The shrimp was ok mine did not have as much poops sacs as the one my friend got. Which makes me wonder is that their standard quality. Anyways make sure you don’t go in groups of 6 or more and avoid kat she is horrible!

Been here a few times since I used to visit Phoenix for work multiple times a month. My family and I decided to dine here because we wanted Hot & Juicy. I’ve been to a handful of the their restaurants in Cali and Vegas and unfortunately, this location is not as good as the Vegas locations that I frequently visit. Service was ok. He was nice. My daughter tried to order a margarita but was told they ran out of tequila the night before. Next, I wanted a glass of Cabernet and was told they didn’t have any but they did have Merlot.

Food:
Crab Legs- Hot & Juicy Sauce add corn, sausage and egg.
Garlic Noodles
And my family order combo seafood boil and appetizers.

The crab legs were yummy. I always enjoy the sauce. I love when the legs have a lot of meat and you can break it without splitting it in half. But this was not the case. Sigh… not sure if the legs were overcooked. Nevertheless, the sauce saved it. My first time trying the garlic noodles. I’ve never seen it on the menu so it must be new.

Overall, I’d still visit all Hot & Juicy Restaurants. The sauce is what sets them apart.

First and last visit! Ordered shrimp, catfish, etouffee and corn fritters for party of 2. Upon receipt of catfish and shrimp entrees I questioned the server about the remaining food and was told, “they don’t make it all at once!” Mind you, my partner was half finished with his meal and I’d never received mine. During this wait, the servers cleaned and restocked the tables, mopped the floors without washing their hands. The etouffee was brought out minus the corn fritters. Again, I questioned the missing dish. ” It’s going to take another THREE MINUTES”. The etouffee was lukewarm at best, no flavor and TWO PIECES OF SHRIMP! No apologies for the lousy service. Appropriate name should be “COLD AND DRY”!!!

We went after the CK memorial, so you can imagine the crowds of people. The hostess (I wish I got her name) she was smiling the whole time and really welcoming. She is so pleasant and managed the waitlist efficiently and precisely. We only waited 20 minutes for a table. Our server Cee (her name tag indicated that she is a team lead as well) was incredible. She got quadruple sat with tables and nailed her points of service. She took everyone’s drink orders, dropped off all the drinks, then took food orders, and consistently checked everyone in her section. She also had an amazing support staff that helped deliver food and drinks. In its entirety, the team shows that they work together to optimize a great experience for their customers. While most people focus on food criticism, I enjoy recognizing those who work hard. I hope management sees this and gives this team a much deserved recognition. GREAT JOB HNJ!!

I ordered the fried shrimp for an appetizer. The shrimp basket is big enough to be a meal! I couldn’t eat more than 2 shrimp! They were huge!! The batter was okay but not the best I’ve had. I’d give the fried shrimp a 3/5. The catfish basket was very filling and decent. I love hot sauce with my catfish and wished they had some. They had Tabasco sauce! I now see why some women carry hot sauce in their purse !! I’d give the basket a 3.5/5 because the fish was mid but the seasoned fries were divine!! We got the Get Your Feet Wet boil & it was underwhelming to say the least. The bag didn’t have eggs even though we asked to add them. The sausage was good but the shrimp wasn’t flavorful and tasted like cocktail shrimp. I’d give the boil bag a 2/5. The flavors weren’t flavoring! The good thing is that everything comes out piping hot and cooked to order. The waiter we had was very helpful and kind. The restaurant was spacious and it didn’t take long to get your order.

Would have given 4 to 5 stars if the margarita drink was actually worth $14. Smallest glass ever and tasted like orange juice with a hint of liquor.

Food just didn’t taste the same came in for blue crab she did inform me that one was dead but two was not well they must’ve got mixed up and served me the bad one no meat bust it open and nothing but shit. Sausage was tough as ever they need to fry it first then put it in the bag. Never got my egg my shrimp and corn was the only thing I ate that was good. Yeah $175 later I’m disappointed and won’t be back ever.
