We stopped here while we were in town on a business trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our visit. It also happened to be Mardi Gras season, so the restaurant had decorations up and a really fun Louisiana vibe as soon as you walk in…

we ordered the fried okra and hush puppies, and both were really good fresh, crispy, and full of flavor.

My husband ordered the seafood boil that feeds up to five people, and when that tray came to the table it was HUGE. The kids immediately started digging in and absolutely loved it. Our little girl was going crazy on the mussels lol and the kids pretty much ate most of the eggs from daddy lol

I personally don’t eat seafood, so I ordered my own boil without seafood and it came with sausage, corn, potatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, eggs, and noodles. The seasoning was perfect … not too salty, not greasy, just really well balanced and flavorful.

We’ve had seafood boils in Louisiana before, and this one definitely ranks as ONE OF of the better ones. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively.

this spot is definitely worth checking out. Our whole family left happy and full with left overs! lol

Our first time visiting since the location was remodeled and rebranded. The atmosphere is lighter and brighter than before. We were promptly seated at a table and “Lana” was on point with our service.

I asked for a sample of the seafood gumbo prior to ordering. I HAVE HAD TOO MANY INSTANCES OF CAJUN STYLED SEAFOOD GUMBO THAT WAS NOT WORTH COOKING! I was pleased with the roux consistency and flavor, so I dove into a bowl. It was very tasty and warrants another order before departure. LOL

I enjoyed the seafood salad and my wife had the crab boil special. We both were quite pleased with the presentation and definitely the taste.

You owe to yourself to stop by and try the menu. I doubt very seriously if you will be disappointed. I’m a true N’awlins fella and I approve this delicious food!

We came here to the new location on the Westbank celebrate my niece’s birthday and wow!!! This is the BEST! This food is so good that it actually makes you happier. This is a happy place. ⚜️ ⚜️ I wholeheartedly and fully recommend Hot n Cajun Boil house on the Westbank. My most awesome server and hostess was Kia. She was so awesome with our large group and all our orders. She totally rocks! Ask for her!

I had the flounder basket and it was phenomenal with Cajun fries and hush puppies but you have a choice. Our table, additionally, had fried oysters, two different types of the chicken appetizers, crab cakes, and a variety of the different boil bags (half king crab, pound of shrimp, lobster and etc). I love that you can choose your spice level and there are different add ones to make yours personally wonderful for you. Everything was perfectly done! I have never had such great fried flounder. It was light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. It made me really feel like I am wasting at home! wonderful!

Additionally, it is a large space with a patio. It is great for parties and gatherings. there is also a full bar with great cocktails. Six flat screen TVS make it a great spot for sports as well.
If you want an authentic seafood experience as well as options for your own specific plate, come! This is definitely a must in the New Orleans metropolitan area. 100% recommend!

My opinion, your char-broiled oyster is BAKED. This is not done on a open flame. Very misleading. People do enjoy the flame boil taste their was none. I am a condiment person the tartar sauce taste very cheap. Its nothing to try and make or buy a better brand of tarter sauce. We ordered 2 seafood plates, fried calamari, kids shrimp plate, boiled crawfish and snow crabs 2 signature drinks 180.00. For me its the little things. Atmosphere wonderful restrooms was clean.

Our first time and we are hooked! We were served by Ms. Lana that made our first visit super special. We had the margarita flight to go along with the snow crabs and shrimp combo! Add some broccoli – you won’t be disappointed. Definitely returning!

We were on the hunt for some really good crawfish, and we found it!! They were easy to peel, decent size for the time of year, and SEASONED! We got the hot and they were just perfect. Just enough, but didn’t make my nose run. Atmosphere was chill and the music was a hit- 2000s!! Lana was our server and even with the place being busy she was attentive, friendly, and conversational! Will def be back when in town.

Travelled to the Harvey location and it was so worth it!

Our server, Brooke, was an absolute joy. Friendly and knowledgeable. Took her time to answer all of our many questions. Also provided suggestions of how to make it worth our money.

We ordered and shared a Lobster Boss and added to the boil bag. Walked away very satisfied.

The food came out piping hot and was DELISH!! Customized the flavor as Cajun seasoning – mild. It had just the right amount of liquid, garlic and spices. It was so good we left nothing (see pic)!

When we return to New Orleans we will definitely make this one of our go to locations for a meal.

Thank you Brooke!

We visited this restaurant twice within a month and last night was a big disappointment. We asked for medium spicy and light salt. The food came out very spicy and salty. Our first visit was outstanding. Apparently, there is no consistency in food quality. Tee was an excellent waiter.
