Got to try some of their catered chicken sliders at an event. Delicious! They also had just the right amount of spice, but it may not be appropriate for those with low tolerance :). Hope to visit the brick and mortar location soon.

I tried the Veg Pulao, Fried Chicken, and Ice Cream, and everything was excellent! The pulao was flavorful and well-cooked, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the ice cream was the perfect sweet finish. Great food, friendly service, and a nice experience overall definitely worth visiting again!

This is a unique take on Nashville chicken. The store was really clean and had a fresh vibe to it. Bathroom was also nicer than many fast casual restaurants.
Now onto the fun stuff. Badmaash’s Mac & Cheese is a must try and liked the fusion idea. Huge portion with a lot of chicken. Super cheesy and I liked the masala and mint chutney sauces on top. It is very heavy so I think it’s best to share as an app instead of as your main meal.
I like the metal trays everything is served on but felt the Mac & Cheese could use a better serving dish. Or at least remove the paper insert it was served on because that soaked up the sauce and started to tear.
I enjoyed the Murga sandwich and was above average. I did find the amount of Indian spices in it to be less than expecting though and it wasn’t extremely noticeable. That would be my main critique. I will try the masala sandwich next time to see if it has more Indian spices in it.
The Masala wings were just okay and wouldn’t really recommend. Moist and crispy but didn’t have a lot of flavor on them.

Great customer service. Chicken juicy and tender in the inside, and crispy on the outside. The hot option couldn’t be better. The place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Is a great place to grab a snack or anything!

My husband and I lived in New Haven for four years, and this was our favorite place for fried chicken sandwiches and badmaash’s fries. We moved back to California about eight months ago, and no hot chicken spot has compared to Hot Murga. The food is flavorful, perfectly spiced, and so satisfying. We still crave it and are planning to make a stop in New Haven when we go to the East Coast in September just to get food from Hot Murga and Olmo bagels lmao

Found this place randomly and thought of trying it. They have a limited menu but all good options. We tried all 3 slider varieties and their masala fries, everything tasted great – the Szechuan sliders were the best! The place is small and doesn’t have a lot of seating, service can be slow because of takeout orders, nonetheless we will definitely be going back to try more!

Quality has gone downhill recently. I order at least once a week and depending on the time of day (always many, many hours before closing) I either get a great sandwich OR one with a stale, literally crunchy bun, skimped toppings, and daal that fills the container halfway/contains hardly any lentils. Maybe an issue with new staff?

I had a great dining experience at Hot Murga. I tried three dishes, and each one impressed me. The Badmaash Fries were a perfect blend of crispy fries topped with chicken, pickles, and sauce, a truly mouthwatering treat. The Ginger Lavender Lemonade was a refreshing surprise, with zesty lemonade infused with ginger and lavender, making it a satisfying and unique beverage. I really loved it. Lastly, the Cardamom Ice Cream was a perfect sweet ending to my meal. They have a creative menu.

We’re lovers of both hot chicken and Indian flavors, so we were super excited when we learned of Hot Murga! This is the only spot I know of with this concept, and all of the food was delicious. I was especially impressed by the mac and cheese which was super cheesy and would’ve been killer on its own too! I appreciated that they had a range of spices for every palate, because I’m more on the mild side, while my fiancé will get his food as hot as he can. Though I feel the chicken could’ve been a little bit more juicy, the flavors were really good, and everything seemed very fresh. The ginger lavender lemonade and cardamom cheesecake ice cream were a great way to cool down, and we liked their outdoor seating area. All of the food came out quickly too!
