Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and voodoo fries. It took over an hour to receive my food and people who ordered after me got their food long before me. Which ruined what was supposed to be a fun date night. I got to wait in line way too long.

The manager came out and apologized for what happened and the wait. She refunded our meal and gave us a gift card as an apology. The food was great as always. We’ve always enjoyed Hot Mess and tonight was an exception. Just still frustrating.

This is the best burger I’ve had this year. It’s the kind of burger that makes you a little sad as you’re popping that last bite in your mouth because you don’t want to be done.
These are big burgers. Go hungry (you’ll eat the whole thing anyway, but being hungry will help). And all of the burgers are double unless you ask for it single. Mine had grilled jalapeños, bacon, THEN bacon bourbon jam and topped with an onion ring. The bun is big enough to handle all that and is toasted perfectly.
Hot Mess does everything right. Go. Get the burger. It will make you happy. That’s how good it is. It makes you happy.

First off the menu wasn’t complicated and we almost immediately knew what we wanted. When we order everyone was kind and didn’t lose their patience when they couldn’t hear our order with all the background talking and laughing, which made us happy because we love relaxed environments. We got an order of Voodoo Fries that were probably among the best things ive ever had, the fries were seasoned with what tasted like Slap Yo Mama seasiong (amazing if youve never had it), chipotle sauce, ranch and i think feta not sure but it was amazing. My wife order the Spicy Chicken sandwich which has a chipotle sauce on it, which was great, probably top 10 best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. I ordered the Big Mick which is basically what I imaging would taste like if a big Mac and a quarter pounder would taste like if they had a kid and that kid evolved to a new species of non greasy burger. I’ve been completely ruined for life when it comes to burgers and fries. 20/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The burger was good but the fries were not hot and I even asked for fresh fries when I paid. My wife’s chicken tenders were overcooked and rubbery. The staff was friendly and re- made what I asked for, but a little more attention in the kitchen could have made a big difference in the food.

The voodoo fries have been our go to and early on they were always great! The last several times though, they’ve been cold. Initially, we thought it was just a really busy summer day. Unfortunately even in the cold and slow winter months, the fries are still coming out cold.

Not many places to sit. Food portions are large. Burger bun soggy and I ate in. Loaded fries, can’t put finger on the flavor of the cheese or sour cream, but one was off. Only ate half of the portions and deconstructed burger due to bun. Found man assisting was polite and provided good service.

The food is good, I don’t love the atmosphere, but the food tastes really quality. My only gripe, and it’s honestly a big one, the food is just really bland. It’s still good because it’s quality food, but their burger and their chickens sandwich desperately needed some strong house made sauce options, I mean the ketchup they gave was plain old ketchup and it tasted magically so a better sauce would go a long way. The only thing I think was seasoned super well was the voodoo fries, but I think they should charge extra and throw some chopped tenders on there. Maybe I could’ve just asked for chicken on it though as an add-on. I think I’d order again however.

Burgers are average. Had the “Our Jam” and it had surprisingly little flavor. Bacon jam was bland, and the meat needed more seasoning. The bun was stale. Fries were good.

Now I have a great reason to visit the Center Street Market! Absolutely amazing food. The burgers are gigantic (double is the standard) and are juicy and full of flavor. We also got bologna sandwiches which were something different and wonderful. Crispy bologna is something else, and the Hot Mess nailed it. Even the fries, which appear as normal-looking as any, surprised me with how good they tasted. What impressed us even more was the onion rings- my wife called them “the best” and she is quite the onion ring aficionado. I would include a picture of the food, but we ate it first! Here was dessert: perfect bread pudding.
