Great place for coffee and food. I have a very hard coffee to get perfect and they did. The LOX and bagels was amazing and the home made biscuits and gravy were out of this world. You have to try this place, oh and a nice view inside or you can use the drive up.

I found this place today and I thought I’d stop in to check it out. It’s a drive thru and also a little cafe to walk up to and sit in.

The woman who greeted and served me was such a sweetheart, very warm and inviting. I felt very comfortable here. The atmosphere is very cheerful.

I ordered the Tuna on a croissant and it was pure divinity. The croissant was warm and sooo flaky and crispy, but not overbearingly so. It comes with a side of potato salad, fruit, pringles and I think macaroni salad, but I’m not 100% on that last one. I highly recommend the tuna. I’m not a fish eater, but I get a craving for a good tuna sandwich once in a while. That said, this was incredible.

I also had a peach strawberry smoothie and it was delicious!

I’m moving away from Kitsap soon, so I’m sad I won’t be able to have this regulary.

A+++

The coffee here is good, the food is delicious and the service is top notch! We got bagels with the pesto cream cheese – warm, so soft and creeeaammy! They put so much thought into everything, we could tell from how well the bagels were packed. Even our dog loved his custom made pup! Can’t wait to be back.

The burrito wasn’t as big as some others on here have said. It was also over $18 with the tip, I doubt I’ll ever get another one. That’s kind of crazy. The staff were great though.

Went here for breakfast with a friend. The bagel and lox was INCREDIBLE!! The dill added a great depth of flavor, and the capers & red onion were a great touch. It was amazing how delicious it was, and it was easy to eat without ripping large pieces of salmon off the bagel.

My friend got the special latte (white chocolate macadamia nut), which had some delicious flavor, and the hot chocolate is made with chocolate syrup, not powder. The whipped cream on top was also delicious.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were so pleasant to talk with while we were there.

The environment is very relaxed and it is a lovely place to spend some time. I look forward to going back.

Went in early for breakfast and had a delicious everything bagel with bacon, egg, cheese with pesto which was deliciously toasted. Our coffee was brought out by a pleasant young lady with the most beautiful skin I have ever seen- coffee was perfect- and next came silverware and food brought out by a charming woman who gave off a real kind motherly vibe. She really seemed like our enjoyment of the food and drink meant a lot to her.

My daughter and I loved our breakfast and we will definitely be back!

Good food and sweet people/service! Only giving 3 stars because I got a 3rd degree burn on my tongue from the tea being boiling hot. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to sell tea/coffee at severe burning degrees…. Only took a teeny tiny small sip (like I normally do with hot tea/coffee) and it was at intense boiling temp and now I have 3rd degree burns on my tongue… full on blisters and swelling. I can’t taste at all…. I might have to go to the Urgent care. So just please be careful and make sure your tea isn’t blazing hot. Other than that, the staff was immensely kind and the food/coffee/tea was delicious besides the boiling degree.

I stopped in at hot Java Café got myself a 24 ounce mocha and a steak and egg breakfast burrito and let me tell you the steak and egg breakfast burrito? not a whole lot to write home about but very filling, not heavy on the stomach and fresh enough to where it didn’t give me acid reflux or negative reaction so four stars for that but the coffee was amazingly well-made tasteful not bitter in the slightest and made with a lot of Care. I highly recommend Java Café even if you’re stopping in for a quick bite or whatever else. check them out.
